Unfortunately we ran out of time to explore the York Motor Museum this time, I took the quick click above as we passed but if you are a lover of vintage cars it's worth a look inside here. The juxtaposition of old vehicles in the museum and new cars on the street appealed, plus I thought how much fun my grandchildren would have in the vintage toy car centre stage and myself in the 🌼 power beauty complete with hood ornament to the left, too cool! I hope your weekend is going well it's a wee bit hot here in Perth, but only for the weekend so I've heard. Happy Sunday, take care and stay safe..
That toy car really is dwarfed!
ReplyDelete...you always have to leave something for the next trip.
ReplyDeleteHave not seen a Flower-Power painted car in many decades. When that '40 Ford was painted in the mid-1960s it was only about 25 years old. There is a nice small reflection of you in the car's hubcap. Watched the museum video, and I know you could take better pictures. Next time.
ReplyDeleteA fine toy car and a Hippy Mobile. Looks like you missed a visit to a fine place, but if you like snow we have about 6" of nice new fluff that is perfect for skiing. -7C too, so you won't work up a sweat. -18C for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe car on the left looks intriguing.
ReplyDeleteExpressive capture that leaves me wanting more cars!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to get a full photo of that flower power vehicle next time. You just like teasing us with a small pic of it. :)
ReplyDeleteI like that toy car too. It is -14˚C here at 5pm and getting colder tonight and only going up to -17˚C tomorrow afternoon. We could use a bit of your heat!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing old wheels. Love this perspective with the newer cars reflected in the window.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun and interesting place.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Nice place
ReplyDeleteLove the flower car, so cute :) Have a nice weekend Grace.
ReplyDeleteThe toy car is great. They are not usually racing cars.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine back in the 60s had a car painted a bit like that. He got so fed up of being stopped by the police that in the end he painted it matt black and lived a less colourful, but unmolested, life.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like an interesting place to visit especially if you love seeing old cars.
ReplyDeleteLooks worth a trip.
ReplyDeleteDeve de ser interessante este museu, aproveito para desejar um bom Domingo.

ReplyDeleteLove the look of the flowered car.
