It's a great day to be a pirate aaargh!

Even pirates have to eat and when chairs are spare that treasure chest will do nicely me hearty!

You never know who you might bump into when Fringe World is in town. The good thing for someone like moi who is a wee bit shy to ask, is that they are all super happy to pose for photos, gotta love that :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. Ok I didn't ask the pirates, they were too busy on their phones 😉

  1. Try explaining to the original Blackbeard how we current day humans spend all day staring at a small device and using our thumbs to write and he'll have you take a long walk off a short plank.

  3. Looks fun. I'd quite fancy being a pirate - the good type, of course. Someone bought me a kids' book called 'Pirate Gran' to read to my grandkids.

  4. What fun, G! It is legal to photo anything or anyone in public view. That being said, I avoid making people tense by sneaking my shots 'cleverly' as in a fake panning gesture with my camera, I know who I wanna snap and do. Plausible deniability, eh? I used to ask, but inevitably the shot I wanted disappeared as the subject stopped their interesting activity and stood smiling at the camera for a bring portrait. No. Just SHOOT! (But don't get beat up.... ladies like us are usually safe....)

  5. These folks are having fun with fancy dress as you had fun with your camera. Never wanted to be a pirate as they did not survive for very long.

  6. I'm always shy about taking pics too and do a bit what Cloudia said - pan around and then sneak a pic!

  9. I dressed up as a pirate once. I thought I looked pretty scary with my beard, playing What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor on my squeezebox. But for some reason everybody laughed!

  14. Fun shots! I love how pirates have adapted to the modern era. I wonder if Google helps them track treasure in shipping lanes.
