Take, give, share.. you've got to love that ethos. After seeing the tiny street libraries on other blogs around the world I've been keeping my eyes open to see if Perth participates in this friendly gesture.. of course it does, why did I doubt it :) There are many mini libraries scattered around the suburbs. The wee literary house here seen on Eighth St. in Maylands matching perfectly with the wee house behind the white picket fence. Will be prepared with a couple of books in the car and on the lookout from now on! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. the 'No Junk Mail' sign made me smile, surely no one would 😉
We have the odd one of them here, but I've never photographed them.
ReplyDelete...we have 'branches' all over the area!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie Grace. I've seen a few but not as tiny as this one.
ReplyDeleteThis si a very nice little library, Grace !
ReplyDeleteIn France all the telephone boxes have been converted into libraries. Works well. We return from here 28 January, but waiting at the mo for an ambulance to collect FIL to go in for scans, he has had 3 sort of fits and we want answers! Some what disruptive but the sooner we know the better. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteLove these! I have 3 that I know of close to home and have seen one out in the country near a friends place...I wonder how much traffic that one gets!
ReplyDeleteI love these little libraries, and have been thinking of building one, but haven't yet. What a great way to share books.
ReplyDeleteYou gave me a great idea. I see these often but I never have a book handy to add to the collection. I will also put a couple of books in my car.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea and the actual tiny libraries. We have them here too.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good sort, G!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful personal effort. I've seen pictures of many but not one quite like this.
ReplyDeleteI always have a little bag of books in the car. I haven't picked up very many good books lately unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteCute wee library. We have one up the road from us and have gotten some good books there. Every time we drop some books off, we end up with a few more coming home with us. :)
ReplyDeleteA fine way to share books. I've seen a few around the USA in my travels. Sometimes even a public typewriter.
ReplyDeleteAll of these little libraries that I've seen are cute but I think this has to be the cutest yet.
ReplyDeleteWe have those in our small town.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
This really is a very cute one, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI´ve again some books ready to go to our red phone booth come Monday (when I go buy Ingo´s bread).
What a lovely idea. I seeing a little library in Melbourne Central once but never on the street like this.

O prazer dos livros
They are nice and you see them all over the world, here too.
ReplyDeleteToday is an example of the beauty and power of the city daily photo sites. We all learn to see and seek out in our own communities from seeing the rest of the world. Great idea to keep books in the car!
