Dogs and horses...

'Some of my best leading men
have been dogs and horses'.. Elizabeth Taylor.

I'm hoping that as much as I love looking at your winter shots of snow and rain you might also enjoy my blue skies and summer weather. Took these shots super early a few mornings ago on Hillarys horse beach, a stone's throw from Hillarys dog beach where more often than not the two interact with more respect than many people manage to do :) We've been waiting for the heat of summer to hit but as yet it's been pretty mild compared to the rest of Oz and parts of WA, not complaining at all, high 20's low 30C is parfait! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  3. I've never seen horses and riders in water that deep. What an amazing sight. And, blue skies and blue water are always a welcoming sight.

  4. Beautiful blue beach scenes, Grace. I also have never seen a horse that deep in the water. A very unusual sight to see. The dog looks like it's considering going in the water too.

  6. I love riding out into water with horses though the odd one gets too enthusiatic, At the age of 16 I had one drop and roll in a big puddle - result a broken elbow for me!! I used to actually swim one when I worked in racing stables, rubbish legs but trained well in the water. Give me summer and high temperatures anytime to winter!!! Take care Diane

  7. I love seeing your blue skies and wonderful beaches, Grace! It was +8˚C here today which is way above but it was cloudy with a bit of rain so not as nice as it could have been if it was sunny. I did see people running in shorts though.

  9. A great quote, unknown to me. Horses on beaches is a little controversial here.

  10. What a perfect day at the beach with horses and dogs. Bet the horses like splashing about in the water as much as the riders. I would trade for a summer day like this any time.

  11. No snow here at lower elevations but I sure do like those blue waters and the blue skies. The horses are a bonus.

  15. Oh, Grace, what?! I hope the temps go up soon!
It must be funny to sit on a horseback in the ocean!
And it looks so beautiful, the blue sky, the ocean and very well said, interaction with more respect that you often find within our species...

  18. The horses seem to enjoy the walk in the sea. I guess they know how far they can go....

  19. That is perfect temperature. I have never actually seen horses on the beach ... it is like a thing you see in movies not in real life.

Sorry I have just discovered that my comments have been getting lost in ether for the past couple of days, that is why I may have been quiet on your blog.
