There isn't anything clear about the blurred image above.. except that I like it 😉 In the city yesterday to see what was happening at Elizabeth Quay we caught the last day of the Kids Summer Fest. So many fun attractions for the parents kids, including the 'dream swinger' here boasting 360 views and ultimate thrills.. the screams emanating from the first moment of swing movement verified this claim :) What I love about these attractions, here and on the Elizabeth Quay Carousel are the beautifully hand painted, timeless artworks.. magic memories. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..
I haven't been on one of those since I was a teenager, at the midways during fall fairs here.
ReplyDelete...what fun, I remember riding a small one when I was young.
ReplyDeleteNever been on one of those rides. We have a carnival that comes through town in the summer and they have rides like these. I can hear the screaming in your photo. :)
ReplyDeleteThe hand-painting on these rides is fantastic and I'm told that it's a dying art as few young painters are being trained in this traditional skill. If you wanted blurred photos you should have taken a ride!
ReplyDeleteThe blurred photo makes me think of fantasy, which in a way is what the ride is all about.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful thing that swinger is, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSun, haapiness, blue sky, rides... it's real summer. Have fun ! I like both pictures...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun ride.
ReplyDeleteThis is such eye candy against that clear blue sky. It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics
ReplyDeleteIt´s very, very beautiful indeed, Grace!
ReplyDeleteUhhh, the top moves, too? I won´t hop in ;-)
I like the Fest´s concept with the one-time-entrance fee and, oh, my! They have Paw Patrol! My little Niece would be so thrilled!!
These are such awesome photos. Even the blurry one. Today (Wednesday), the New York Times came out with their 52 places to visit in 2019 and Perth was on it. They said some very nice things about your city. Makes me want to visit.
ReplyDeleteA bright merry-go-round against a blue sky! Your photographs convey such fun Grace. I like the blurred one too. It has a certain je ne sais quoi. Clarity is so bourgeois. :-)
ReplyDeleteit's very pretty and colourful, don't know if you would get me up there though :-)
ReplyDeleteTo be a kid again...
ReplyDeleteA truly fairytale appearance.
ReplyDeleteWell that does look like fun and I agree the artwork is nice and timeless.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats seeing kids having fun, outside!

It's a beautiful carousel Grace. Scary for me though.
ReplyDeleteFabulous photos, I used to enjoy Luna Park is what was then Salisbury in Rhodesia. Think these days it woud scare the hell out of me! Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteThe colours in these photos are super.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun whimsical photos!!
ReplyDeleteThe top one is so effective!
ReplyDeleteI love it :)
