Perth Upmarkets.. a bit special!

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than wandering through the grounds and halls of the University of Western Australia (UWA) in the company of my sisters and Aimee. With some of Perth's best artists, designers and gourmets selling their work at Perth Upmarket held quarterly, this is one of the best markets to find that special something for most occasions.. my new granddaughter is in for a few very lovely surprises! You can see by the coats and jackets it was chilly, tres chilly, in fact it took beaucoup de café et petits gâteaux to warm us up :)

Winthrop Hall.. we weren't the only ones who thought it was a good idea!

A closer look at the stained glass window and the McGillivray Organ ...

.
The reflection pool...

... much better from this side don't you think! Oh, and the talented artists I mentioned earlier.. I'll introduce you to one tomorrow.  Hope you had or are still having a wonderful weekend, take care...p.s. big catch up today!

It doesn't look très chilly to me though! Where are the anoraks? :-) I hope you'll show us some gâteaux... and what you bought! :-)

  8. That organ is a piece of architecture in itself. "Petits gateaux"? Were there no large ones?

  9. It's wonderful to see such an event so well-attended, Grace! It is 29˚C and humid here - feels like 37˚C so it is shorts and flipflops all around! I had my first Mojito of the season this afternoon.

  13. You weren't too busy with your camera to shop? It looks wonderful, both as an institution of higher education and as a venue for shopping.

  14. That does look like an event well worth visiting. Heck, that campus alone is well worth a visit. I love the reflection in that last shot.

Hm, sadly I can´t see the Perth Upmarket-site. I get the message: "Forbidden - Users from your country are not permitted to browse this site.". Germany... So not advanced...
