Although I have a phobic fear of deep water one of my most favourite things to photograph are boats and the delicious reflections they create in the water... the vibrantly coloured vessels of Golden Sun Cruises moored at Pier 4 Barrack St. Jetty waiting to take you to Fremantle, Rottnest Island or upriver to the Swan Valley...
Or you could head over to Pier 3 and 'sling your hook' with Captain Cook arrrrrr! Well we're six days into winter here in Perth.. the skies have been blue and yesterday it was 23C.. could you cope with that :) Bon weekend, take care and stay safe...
See more weekend reflections here...
Ahoy Matey! Ship shape photos! ♥

Love these water reflections, Grace! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and reflections!
ReplyDeleteIf it was 23˚C here in December we would all be over the moon - except for the skiers I guess!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to paint some dolphins - watching them surf around the bow of a boat is one of life's greatest pleasures. TY for sharing!
ReplyDelete[I hope your fear of deep water does not stop you from enjoying some time ON the water...]
Great post for the day as always!! I love the colorful boats and the reflections on the water!! I do miss living near the water as I did in Seattle! Terrific captures! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Grace!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI love the ocean, in spite of the fact that I swim like a rock! Love the cool boats!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderfully colourful. An intensity of colour that isn't seen here.

ReplyDeleteWinter, 23 % ??? Boo Hoo!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics mind!
All the reflections reflect your love of the photographic process in recording them visually.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Grace - I also love reflections! We had a gorgeous day down here yesterday too, and I'm hopeful today will be similar! Joyx
ReplyDeleteLovely reflections!
ReplyDeleteVery nice reflection. I like the dolphin.
ReplyDeleteThose watery reflections could pass so easily as a dynamic, surreal painting. Such vibrant colours. And I always love the see boat styles.
ReplyDeleteEach of these vessels has great color, nicely reflected in the water. Well done, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove these reflections Grace - now please go and find a lovely sail boat reflection to photograph for 'moi'!
ReplyDeleteI never sail, but I love sail boats!
Beautifully clean and clear images, especially that first one. My father always came back from holiday with a camera full of boat pictures - and he had a fear of any water that was deeper than his bath.
ReplyDeleteLove the 'leaping' dolphin in the first picture! Very clever shot.
ReplyDeleteNice colors and reflections. Wish you a nice week end. Kisses from Italy.
ReplyDeleteI love the reflections and the bright colors!:)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
I can see why you go to this pier. What wonderful shots !
ReplyDeleteTerrific vibrant shots Grace. I could certainly handle 23 c in winter.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you, don't much care for swimming but love to watch boats cruise by.
ReplyDeleteLovely reflections Grace. Yes Friday was a glorious day, although today with the grey skies and wind it felt like a winter day already!
Very nice reflections!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Grace! Beautiful reflections! Awww, 23C for winter - yes, I guess I could "cope" with that! 26C overe here today :-)

Perth, your photos continue to delight!
ReplyDeleteI am afraid of deep water too but love love your gorgeous boats and reflections.

Esta última foto me encanta... Un saludo desde Murcia.
ReplyDeleteThe water reflections are stunning... lovely shot...
ReplyDeleteThere's something very playful in that first shot...I suppose it's the bright cheery orange boat with the dolphin...but it's so much more than just that!!!
ReplyDeleteSimply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFor many years no longer sail. These images sparked in me nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteWe like to be on the water. That's why we cruise.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
The guy who had the ideau to paint this silhouette of dolphin had the best idea : perfect figurehead for a boat !!! Your pictures are awesome : great composition and choice of angles : you took the most of them.
ReplyDeleteAll these images were well worth to overcome your fear of deep water!
ReplyDeleteLovely colours and reflections!
ReplyDeleteI love the BLUE and the reflections.
