In an attempt to blow away any lingering vestiges of a 'mm' (mega migraine) yesterday, I zipped down to check out the coast on the first really wintery winters day this winter :) with temps 17 - 19C brrrr! Spotting long lens guy and friend huddled in the shelter of a Trigg Beach rocky outcrop I stopped to 'poach' his view from the road! Wonder if he snapped me while I wasn't looking :) The waves looking back up to Hillarys Boat Harbour were crazy wild.. the Cormorants clinging to the rock below, perhaps thinking it was time to migrate to warmer climes.. not sure if they actually do that! Hope your week started better than mine, happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe...

Poaching a view!

Oh, it does look cold and stormy, but SO beautiful!! Terrific captures, Grace! I hope the migraine is gone and that you're feeling great again!! I do love those huge waves crashing against the rocks!! I can almost hear them!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful images, Grace--that second one, especially.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! Love them, Grace.
ReplyDeleteFresh air does wonders. Love all these shots!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a ROUgh sea, Grace! Fabulous pics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful coastline...rugged seas always make for a beautiful pic!!!
ReplyDeleteI always forget that you're the opposite of us. It's hard for me to remember cooler times right now. But love the view on the water.
ReplyDeleteWhat a horrible winter you have! But you got some wonderful photos today. Oh, and we had a fine Summer day today with the same temperature!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those waters look rough but I sure do love your birds on those rocks:) Thanks for including them.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos Grace but you've got to be joking about the temps. 17-19° described as cool make me smile!!!
ReplyDeleteA rough ocean...but a spectacular view!
ReplyDeleteThe power of the sea is an awesome thing as your photos show so well. Beautiful but dangerous.
ReplyDeleteReally wild images Grace! You get some big seas over there! I watched my Mum suffer from really really awful MMs whilst growing up and they are just horrid things. Thankfully she did not pass them on to me. I hope the ocean blew any remnants away dear Grace.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the photographer! I love snapping other people taking photos. The ocean really does look wild and stormy in these shots.
ReplyDeleteLooks very interesting place. But I thinke there might to be quite cold wind.
ReplyDeleteLovely images !!
Hugs
That was worth the trip to take those photos, spectacular.
ReplyDeleteUrgh, poor you, I used to get mm's. I take some preventative pills now that seem to work. 17-19C is what the temp is here - and this is summer! But we don't have those huge waves, ha. It's always fun to see what other people are taking pics of, I find. Sometimes it inspires me, sometimes not!
ReplyDeleteFab shots ! Love the view as well as those comorants.
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace, so dang sorry to hear you had to go through migraine again. I´m so so very relieved I´m over it since... 15 years now? I know it´s a horrible pain :-(
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, but mind you... "17 - 19C brrrr!" ;-) - it made made me giggle. Add a minus and I´m with you!
Did you hear btw that in Paris a bridge-wall broke down due to too many love locks? C' est la vie, huh? Physics!
An interesting story about the bridge, Flavia!
Delete17 degrees? Brrr shmrrr! Glad you're feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer the second
ReplyDeleteCold, 19% ?
ReplyDeleteYet more Aussies came into the museum today to taunt us, but today the sun shone 23%! Ha!
Wonderful shots of the sea. Brilliant stuff!
It looks very wild. I have often wondered what someone was photographing and turned to look at the subject to see if it is something that interests me.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the migraine. Glad it is in the past. Grace, you never fail with your photographs. The second one is just stunning with the waves, rocks, and blowing mist. The others are fine also, but that second one has me.
ReplyDeleteSmashing pictures, love the second one, so full of atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of the MM - you certainly have my sympathy Grace! Your pics are great once again - oh it looks so rough and wild, you brave girl! We've been having same sort of weather, and so cold too! Joy x
ReplyDeleteSpectacular and wild! Hopefully the migraine lessens quickly.
ReplyDeleteSo that's where you were, brave girl. 4C this morning! But the sun is out.....
ReplyDeleteYou are my opposite number! Winter for Summer; Good Deal, G

The waves look pretty fierce.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, waves , Wind ,winter .. 3"W" that make me dream at the moment , as heat reached us suddenly and strongly ..
ReplyDeleteTake a good care of you !
Very cool seascape photography Grace. The sea is wonderful for blowing away vestiges of every kind.
ReplyDeleteFunny to read your about your "winter times". When we have 20 C here, we all go out to enjoy the nice weather. Actually it is now 22.5 C and I have the garden door open while typing :).
ReplyDeleteRough sea! Great photos Grace. Hope you are feeling much better by now.

ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of the rough sea!
ReplyDeleteThe photos are great. Even the poached view.
ReplyDeleteMy wife suffers from migraines also. I'm so thankful that I've never had one.
Wow! Great view ... , especially the second. It's fine !
ReplyDeleteThe first is lovely scene.
That partner probably had very cold but had satisfied, I'd like to think... :)
Thanks to post.
PS; in Japan near 30 C temperature, Huu.
Great shots, a little bit of cloudy weather...Arianna
