Mystifying memento!

On Saturday evening we were invited to the opening night of Hello Hollywood a new dinner/show family venue.. the opening act were brother and sister 'mystifiers' Adam & Selina, see them here. After the show Adam took my fork, passed it around to show that it was a solid steel fork and after I had written my name on both sides of the handle (below) he began rubbing and stroking the fork until one by one the tines twerked (?) out of shape, followed closely by the handle. Immediately passing it round again the metal was steel hard.. how! It's taken all of my will power not to google because no doubt there is an answer but I want to hold on to the mystery just a little longer :) pretty cool memento of a fun night oui! Hope you're having a good weekend, take care and stay safe...

  1. Don't research it and you can keep the illusion.

  2. That is fun and sometimes it's more fun not to know how it happens. Re your comment on The Villages: We were at the spa in the middle of the week and middle of the day. Brownwood is still in its very early stages so there isn't a lot going on there. Most of the snowbirds have flown back up north which means some venues in The Villages are sort of empty until October. :)

  3. I agree with Lowell, it is sometimes more fun not to know!! That's wild and could surely make for an interesting meal!! Have a great new week, Grace!!

  4. After a while, most all of my forks look like this without any magic at all. ;-)

  5. Someone was angry at the fork.

  8. At least you have a memento that you will treasure, and keeping the mystery is a nice touch.

  11. Very cool Grace. Some mysteries should remain just that; a mystery.

  15. That is a mystery to me, too, though the bigger mystery is how you are going to eat from now on . . .

  17. Great pictures of a mystifying event. I'm a chronic skeptic, though. I would have looked it up by now.

  20. Yes the Uri Geller effect, we had all those forks and spoons seen on tv in the past. Also old watches and clocks at home started running again. I like those mystical things, I don't want to now how it works. It is an illusion and I want to keep it that way.

  21. Uri Geller, I remember that trick from that time too. Don't know how it's done but it's freaky!

  28. Some of the explanations out there in cyberspace are boring - possibly because I didn't understand half of what they were saying, and mostly what they said was about spoons. Your fork is obviously something more specialer, and makes for a pretty interesting photograph as well.

  29. Looks like Uri Geller had been there too:)

  31. I "created" one of these the other night, when I didn't realize that it was in the garbage disposal when I turned it on. My wife didn't appreciate it much, but I did!
