Bravo Mr. Alston..

This is not the first Dean Alston cartoon that I've shared with you and probably not the last.. he is brilliant! Remember this one relating to the cutting down of the magnificent 100 year old Moreton Bay Figs to make way for Elizabeth Quay, j'adore!  Alston, editorial cartoonist with The West Australian since 1987, renowned for his satirical humour has penned a tribute here that is both touchingly sensitive to the young men who lost their lives on the beaches of Normandy and to those who survived, as well as sadly relevant to today's political situation. Please embiggen and read, it's so worth it. Happy Sunday, take care...

  8. Perfect analysis. Unfortunately, today we now have another threat... and it's financial power... but the results are the same.

  9. Well done, thanks for sharing, Grace. But he should´ve mentioned that the guy with the moustache was a small Austrian man with brown hair, too.
I really so fail to understand how he could convince people of his German, blonde, blue eyed, tall race. He was none of that!
