Portrait preparation.....

I've been asked to take family and portrait photos for a 90th birthday celebration next week, so I've been practicing on any willing (and in some cases used bribes on the  not so willing !!) volunteers to get some ideas  before the event. I won't indulge and post all of my efforts, just this one because I'm really happy with it.  Back to Perth 'goings on' tomorrow!!

  1. A beautiful mood captured here! There is a feeling of being a secret watcher while the subject is completely absorbed in her moment!

  3. If you pull off a few of these at the real event you will endear yourselves to all...as if you hadn't already done so...

  8. Stunning, lighting is great, did you use fill flash? I need to get back into portraiture but want to try more environmental stuff. Need to get over my aversion to flash as well.

  10. Like you Ann, I also have an aversion to flash and use natural light as much as possible, that was early evening light.
