I'm not sure what attracts me to this picture so much, I think it's because it looks as if some giant hands have scooped up an assortment of various yachts and sailing vessels and just 'dropped' them into the harbour. To me there seems to be no order, but in fact I'm sure all concerned know exactly what's what, I understand that pens at the marina are extremely costly, and in very short supply these days, in fact if you are trying to sell a boat unless it comes with a pen, you don't have buckley's!!
Thank you so much for all the good wishes about my eye, the patch is off and all is well except for the occasional urge to yarrrr!
This is a good one, Grace. I thought a pirate like you would be abreast of all oceangoing issues. I sure would hate to be tasked with moving one of those vessels.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great pic Grace. Well titled! Good to hear you are well onto the recovery road. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteIt looks so random!! But maybe less so when you count up the millions of bucks represented there!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
It's the promise of adventure!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kris and the promise of adventure.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the way it is a jumble.
ReplyDeletehere in our harbor we call them "slips" but the same applies: not enough!

Marinas in my Mornington Peninsula world have this jammed appearance too! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure either, but I feel the same attraction for what you aptly call 'jumble sail'...
ReplyDeleteI love boats and harbours... It make me dream...
ReplyDeleteGreetings from France,

ReplyDeleteAnd here's me expecting you to hoist the 'Jolly Roger'! Glad the eye is better.
ReplyDeleteGood for your eye! This is a wonderful jumble of boats!
ReplyDeletethis is such a lovely capture!!
ReplyDeletegood to know your piracy days are over! :)
I would love to be there among those boats... blue skies, gentle wind, and the clanging of the halyards.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
Hold onto that inner-pirate. Who knows where it might lead you.
ReplyDeleteNever stop Yarrrrr-ing!
ReplyDeleteA nice bunch of ships, beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteGlad your eye feels better. I love how colorful and busy the image is.
ReplyDeleteI can't for the life of me figure out how on earth they maneuver their boats into open water!
ReplyDeleteV
Whatever it is, it's attracting me too! It just feels "cool".
ReplyDeleteLove your title! Glad the eye is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, there's something really appealing about shots like this. It really works well, this one. So are you going to put up a selfie, patch and all, Grace?
ReplyDeleteThis is a large parking yachts. Warren ships. Interesting photo. peter.
ReplyDeleteOf course the boats must be all lined up but you managed to get an amazing angle which might fool anyone! :-)
