Downsizing successfully..

The Grumpy Sailor.. still the best name for a cafe in a port city :) last seen HERE on the blog. While many small eateries have struggled to keep afloat during this extraordinary year of covid The Grumpy Sailor has downsized and moved, not far from it's original spot but much closer to the traffic flow from Freo's High Street. Gone is the quirky decor, the shelves of books, couches and armchairs but the important things are still the same, excellent coffee and delicious bagels.. a huge favourite with locals and visitors to the port city, a move that has passed with flying colours. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe..

  1. It looks great in this new place. No clutter is good for these times. I did like seeing the books in your earlier post.

  2. Dearest Grace,
That is a positive message about a food related business.
    So many had to quit...

  3. Glad to know this quirky cafe is surviving. I would be grumpy too if a giant octopus were reaching over my shoulder for my coffee and phone. Did you know that an octopus has a separate brain for each arm?

  4. Quite a different look but it works well. Did you buy a t-shirt?

  6. Good to see the business not only is surviving the virus, but able to relocate also. That's a neat face on the mural, too.

  9. I'm glad to hear that it has found a way to success in these strained times. I might add that I'd be grumpy too if I had an octopus hanging around my neck.

  10. Maybe The Grumpy Sailor should merge with The Lucky Shag and the world will be a better place.
