I haven't mentioned it before but this week we are a few days into a full bathroom renovation, this is the current state of my main bathroom, luckily there is another but you can imagine the dust, the noise etc. Our house is of the older variety, on first sight the plumber threw his hands up in despair before setting to and replacing all the piping. Plus I seem to have caught a bug, no not THAT bug :) the medication is giving me a mega headache so I think I will have to give up and have a few days off. The bathroom will take another week, hopefully the headache not so long! Catch up early next week and show you the progress. Take care and stay safe.. 💙
Grace, wishing you a rapid recovery. Being ill is no fun at all. By all means take time to rest and get well. The workmen will reconstruct your bathroom for you. By all means show us the result when it is done.
ReplyDelete...oh boy!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a big job. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteO my that is a bit of a serious renovation, don't envy you that or the plumber. It's not something I miss now
ReplyDeleteLooks like a huge job. Take it easy, Grace and get better soon.

I'm sure the mess will all be worth it when it's done. Hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteHope you get well soon. Major bathroom project for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a time to be sick, Grace! I hope the noise from the reno isn't too bad and that you can rest up.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, it will be over one day, both the headache and the bathroom refit. Sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a big job.
ReplyDeleteOmg, ancient Roman ruins. Take care of yourself. Renovations like that are hard enough without feeling unwell.
ReplyDeleteYikes! (And take it easy and get better.)
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Grace. Renovations are the worst!
ReplyDeleteDearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteSorry that you're not feeling well... Hope that soon will go away.
Yes, that is one of those mega tasks where first it gets a lot worse, before the improvement becomes visible. Dust will go away though, that is temporarily. We've lived with it. Husband Pieter dug out 60 tons of dirt in the basement to build our Rose Suite. Sand in the shower every single day and dust everywhere... But when all is done and ready, you beam with pride!
Hugs,
Mariette
Oh, wee, Grace! Headache and plumber is a bad combination for sure!
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best, may both be over soon! xox
Oh poor you, take a brake and put a headphone on. Take care!
ReplyDeleteDoctor's orders: a few days on the beach!
ReplyDeleteIt will be lovely when it’s finished. Take care.
ReplyDeleteDidn't realize it was going to be a major Reno, stripped right down to the bare bones. Good luck and wishing you a good recovery Grace. I've been off work with a sore throat and cough, but better today.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon, Grace !
ReplyDeleteOh I do hope you feel better soon, maybe the dust etc isn't helping you, I know I get allergies so easily from anything.
ReplyDeleteO.M.G.!! What a mess.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope your new bathroom will be wonderful, so you can enjoy after all the work. Good luck!!
Warm regards,
Marco
It's going to be lovely when its all finished.
ReplyDeleteWishing you well soon.
All the best Jan
Yes piping is one of the most forgotten aspects of architecture. But if they do their job you don't see it any more. I wish you a very nice bathroom in the future.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you, when we renovated the kitchen and bathroom (only 1) were the first things to disappear. We hot footed to our city apartment and only popped by in weekends to check progress ... it took a year! That looks like a mega reno ... looking forward to the progress shots.
ReplyDeleteWow, seriously, I first imagined that I'd read about some historic place you had visited this is really something! I wish you luck and fresh air as quickly as possible and I can't wait to see the finished project!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is quite a project. And, to have it going on while you aren't feeling well makes it doubly troublesome. I hope you feel better soon and before the new bathroom reveal.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery Grace. Look forward to seeing the new bathroom renovation.
ReplyDeleteHope your headache is gone or at least on the way out. I don't envy you the bathroom remodel particularly while not feeling well. 'They' say "this too shall pass" but when you're in the middle of a remodel the 'passing' can't come soon enough...hang onto the thought that the new bathroom will be fantastic!!!
ReplyDeleteI hate renovations of any kind now I seem to have lived through too many! The headache though sounds much worse, I hope you soon get control over it, nothing worse, I feel for you I used to get migraines so I know.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe, Diane
A very nice photo, greetings
ReplyDeleteOmg! I have moved across an ocean and households twice in recent years and I'm celebrating being in one place for over a year now and I'm never moving or renovating again period my heart goes out to you
