There is a good chance that most people wouldn't look up and spot the tall mast ship weather-vane atop the St Georges Terrace entrance to London Court, middle of the shot below. I love both tall ships and weather-vanes so I usually have a glance up to see which way the wind is blowing when on the terrace. I quite fancy the idea of a weather-vane but the process of choosing could take years, check out the surprise surprise Art Deco :) selection here, gorgeous aren't they. Do you have/or would like to have a weather-vane, if so what would you choose? Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
Very nice weather vane. I've never seen one like that. The building is fantastic also.
ReplyDeleteYou know that I like a nice weather vane and that's certainly a super one. Unfortunately I don't have anywhere on my house where I could put one.
ReplyDeleteFabulous First Shot - So Dig It
ReplyDeleteCheers
I have no where to put one on my place! I do like that ship. There are a couple of whales in my area that are quite nice too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot of the weather vane, nice to have the zoom for this photo. :)
ReplyDeleteNice one, Grace.
I don’t think I’d have spotted the weather vane in that location. Interesting. I love them but choosing one would be tough.
ReplyDeleteThat vane is quite something to see!
ReplyDeleteWeather vanes are wonderful instruments, and you found a good one. I'm also impressed by your long lens. Yes, I also like the Art Deco weather vanes. The sailing ship is all about the wind.
ReplyDelete...that poor tiny classic building looks sandwiched in between those tall ugly things!
ReplyDeleteI love weather vanes and as you might imagine, I see very few of them here in the desert southwest. This one reminds me very much of one I saw in London.
ReplyDeleteI am always looking up, looking like a country bumpkin in the city for the first time staring up at tall buildings. Wow, there are some stunning weather vanes. You are right. Hard to choose.
ReplyDeleteLovely! A ship sailing the wind of the skies!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very nice vane. My husband would love it. We have a neighbor who put a pig with wings vane on her barn when it was new.
ReplyDeleteI think weather vane a cool.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
J'aime beaucoup cette petites maison qui a survécu au milieu des buildings
ReplyDeleteCute weathervane! I'd choose a dog!
ReplyDeleteShame on me, Grace, indeed I haven´t looked up, obviously!
ReplyDeleteBut to be fair we usually enter from the other side...
Haha, guess I´d choose the witch, too tempting and also Ingo would need to get a black cat for me ;-)
I haven't looked up either Grace, as I have never noticed it :) Who knew there were so many choices for weather-vanes? I would probably go for the rooster.
ReplyDeleteUm belo edifício entalado entre dois gigantes, aproveito para desejar uma boa semana.

O prazer dos livros
our house came with a weather vane. I don't pay enough attention to it. The one in your photo is lovely.

I am wondering if the high rises around the weather vanes influence the direction of the wind and so gives a wrong answer.
ReplyDeleteNice! So many interesting weather vanes out there, works of art some of them!!
ReplyDeleteTwo great choices, two great shots
