White-cheeked honey eater..

It's a bit of a challenge for me to catch a pic of the smaller honey-eaters, they flit from flower to flower speedily making it difficile to focus, so am delighted when I snap a half decent shot. Spotted the white-cheeked honeyeater feasting on the nectar of one of the many species of banksia flowers early morning in Kings Park. Every now and then its head would disappear completely into the flower, I could almost hear mmmmmyum 🍯 Pretty little creature isn't it! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  2. So cute Grace. I get lots of them in my garden, but they are so fast it's difficult to catch them.

  3. That is a beautiful little bird and you got a fantastic shot of it. That is one of many things I enjoy about going to the botanical garden. Watching the little birds enjoying the fruits of nature.

  5. That's a new one to me. Never seen a White-Cheeked Honey-Eater before, though there are plenty of Red-Cheeked Beer-Drinkers around the village!

  13. Well done. This looks like the New Holland Honeyeaters we have around here. Your photos sent me scampering off to see if I had identified mine properly ... I had not heard of the White Cheeked one before.
