Do they look as if they care :) Koalas are anti-social critters, sleeping for most of the day, eating when awake. Sleeping, eating, sounds appealing no wonder they are so cuddly chubbly 💙 A bit like exhausted children they seem to be able to sleep in any position, the guy above and his mates below were out for the count, totally unaware of the many cameras clicking at Caversham Wildlife Park. The park is a huge hit with tourists who come to see uniquely Australian wildlife and despite the hot weather there were long queues waiting to have their pic taken with the koalas, exhausting stuff for the sleepy marsupials.. not as cuddly as they look by all accounts! More marsupials tomorrow. Happy Thursday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. much less scary than yesterday :)
...thanks Grace, this is a critter that I would never see.
ReplyDeleteThey look seriously relaxed!
ReplyDelete"I have all the koalafications!"
ReplyDeleteThey seem sweet and snuggly.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year in the northern prairie the idea of eating and sleeping has appeal. Cute photos of these Koalas. I see the first one has found just the right chin support.
ReplyDeleteDig The Bear Sleeping But That 'Vive la difference..' Post Was Amazing!! Like WoW
ReplyDeleteCheers
Adorable photos! The only one I've ever seen was at the San Diego Zoo and it looked exactly like this, eyes closed, sound asleep.
ReplyDeleteThey sure got relaxation down pat. They are so cute to see, thanks, Grace!
ReplyDeleteThey are going to fall down now! :)
ReplyDeleteCute photos Grace! I've never seen one in person before.
ReplyDeleteI remember visiting Healesville Sanctuary when I was in Melbourne many years ago which is a similar sort of place I imagine. I was rather talked into it by my friends' little girl but I enjoyed seeing the animals at such close quarters.
ReplyDeleteIt can be hard to get a good photo of a koala, but your first is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteIt is good he found something to rest his chin on in that first pic, Grace! They do looks very cuddly!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had a photo taken with a koala in 1999. It is a favourite of our holiday photos and sits on a shelf in the family room.
ReplyDeleteThat's the place I "had to" touch one, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteYou made me grin with "sounds appealing" - Ingo must be one these hot days!
They make me laugh.
ReplyDeleteNeat. I would definitely wait in line to get a picture of a koala.
ReplyDeleteKoalas are so adorable sleeping in all sorts of positions :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome shot . Keep commenting on my blog because I love your comments.
ReplyDeleteHe/she looks like I feel on a hot day.
ReplyDeleteOh I like them so much, they look so cute. I saw them once I was in Australia in a tree in the wild!
ReplyDeleteCute !
ReplyDeleteEven the very word, "marsupial," appeals to me. Holding a koala was crossed off my bucket list this past year.

Sweet looking animals like none other. Thanks for the good pics of them.
ReplyDeleteWhile down your way I even mailed out a Christmas card of a koala wearing a Santa hat.
Ha, good one Grace and William.
ReplyDeleteI love koalas!
ReplyDeleteThay are really cute little fellows but don't they also carry a lot of bug or fleas on them !! Enjoy your day, Diane
ReplyDeleteI love that first shot. They really are cute -- those noses, especially.
