Missed opportunities..

On Saturday evening we went to La Soiree one of the hottest shows in the Fringe World Festival, held in the Ice Cream Factory on Roe Street in Northbridge. Have a look here to get a 30 second idea of the acts, most of which were performed on the handkerchief sized stage above. There was a 'no cameras' policy.. the show hadn't started in the shot above and was over in the pics below so had a couple of quick clicks :) Although there were many, many stunning photo ops, it was more fun to sit and enjoy the show without thinking about those shots. All that energy, all those people, the hot weather.. it was ice-cream all round when the lights went out 😉 Hope you had/are still having a good weekend, take care and stay safe..

  1. ...a 'no cameras' policy does seem to apply to cell phones.

  6. It looks like it was a good show.
I think digital imaging ruined the photography at concerts. I don't ever remember being told no cameras when I attended or worked at any concert or live event with any of my 35mm or MF cameras; before digital imaging came to be.

  8. It's sad the policy applied. I can imagine too many people used flashlights, disturbing the show. But so you could enjoy more maybe. Oh, Grace. Can you bring some licorice ice cream over from Hillarys now? My nearly sweet tooth woke up.

  11. Some times it is just nice to sit back and not worry about capturing the moment, that you may well miss while capturing the moment.

  12. Those "no camera" events can be liberating. I do love what you captured for us. You should have a press pass!
