Once upon a time...

...I only saw laughing kookaburras when we were out bush walking, now all I have to do is look out of my front window! Thank goodness my windows had had their once yearly Christmas clean 😉Although they make a heck of a racket with their raucous laughter I do love these little critters.. yes even when they wake me at sunrise! The word has spread.. the birdbaths in this garden are always full, in the warm weather that's essential. Even though he was having a wonderful time splashing about you can see he was keeping a careful watch in all directions.. it's a tough world out there, even in suburbia :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe..

  5. What a wonderful sight to see. Birds love to make noise in the early morning. We have crows screaming at whatever starting at 6ish. It will get earlier as time moves toward more morning light.

  7. Wonderful. Aside from eagles, I wouldn't have thought kookaburras would have predators. Perhaps it was watching for food.
