Under Construction..

'Sorry for the inconvenience'
If Rome was built in a day
we would have used the same contractor..

I've been having a few problems with my computer lately.. just as I am ready to press schedule.. *poof* it all disappears. I have a few more beach shots but will have to try again tomorrow. Every time I go into the city these days I notice more construction work going on, is it the same for you? I know progress is an ongoing endeavour but sometimes it would be nice to see see everything neat, tidy and finished :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

  1. Work never ends. One project leads to the next.

The roos don't seem to care for it.

  9. Don't come to Melbourne then. I think the city is being completely rebuilt.

  10. I guess in the big cities, you will always have some kind of construction going on. Change is constant and aggravating at times but all you can do is cope and take photos. :)

  11. ...if you think that they are taking a long time, come to Maui and see work in slowmotion.

  12. Sorry about your computer issues, hopefully it will correct itself. I've had that issue when using my cell phone with Blogger, but thankfully when I pull it up my computer it's still there! This statue is wonderful, and the building in the background has really caught my attention too!

  15. Our construction season does not begin for another month, but know what your mean about the disruption. Love the fabric on the pole that the roos seem to be watching.

  16. Somehow "progress" has come to mean tearing down the old and replacing it with the new even when the new is the personification of "stink." Quality too often comes before quantity.

    Nice pic. Happy Weekend.

  18. It is annoying, agreed, Grace. But at least it´s always something different. Here they´re working on one of the main roads through town since two years, not even kidding! On many days the sites are empty. No one working...
Hope your PC doesn´t become one of them!

  22. Here in Toronto area there are 2 distinct seasons.... winter and construction, and sometimes they don't even stop for winter.

  26. Yes, in my town they are not only building everywhere, but streets and highways are being worked for on too.

I have been enjoying the size of the beautiful pictures on your blog. I even though I have been around for a long time can't seem to master getting mine that large...I would also need to use a better camera.

  27. It appears that nowhere in the world, except for some rural and remote areas, is there peace and quiet and a lag in construction. It used to be in the northern areas of this country the pace slowed a bit during the winter, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more; building continues apace...aargh!
