That elusive man in red.....!

Was it something I said.. have I been a naughty girl :) whatever the reason I don't seem to be able to catch a break with the man in red! His sleigh is fabulous.. Donner, Prancer and the gang are all there but as yet he has eluded my lens. I took the above and below shot when Santa was in town to celebrate the Christmas lights being switched on a few weeks ago, he was parked outside Myer or was it David Jones so I guess he could have been doing some Chrissy shopping :)

I could have cried, well alright maybe I did a little.. we had such a fabulous spot to watch the floats pass by as they came around the corner onto St. Georges Terrace and just as Thomas the Tank Engine was passing.. is he giving me a funny look.. it was all over red rover, battery kaput! and from way back at the end of the line I'm sure I heard a faint mocking ho! ho! ho! I'll get you yet Santa! I'm saving my favourite shot of the evening for tomorrow, there's a lot of red but it's nothing to do with Christmas.. Hope that you're enjoying the remainder of your weekend, keep those batteries charged and take care.....

  1. Nice colors! I have have yet to lay eyes on ol santa this year, it has just worked out that way for some reason. Never in the right place at the right time but then I have a good supply of sticks and coal already so I shouldn't be upset for not meeting the old fellow we seem to be on the outs anyway.

  3. A delightful post, Grace!
Those kids in the first image are quite cute. We can look at that and travel back to our childhood and feel the excitement those little ones feel!

  6. Yes, I hate when Thomas the Tank Engine gives me a funny look. He sure gets around. We skipped our Christmas parade this year. The windchill was -25 or -30 degrees, too dangerous to be outside. Now I know you will get a charge out of Christmas.

  9. I can't help but be amused at onlookers wearing tank tops and shorts at a Christmas parade. We're shivering in our boots.

  15. Quite colorful! We have nothing like that here. I miss the boat parade in Virginia and the other parades from when I lived in Pennsylvania.

  16. Elaborate and colorful, but does Santa arrive in Perth on a surfboard or a sleigh?

  23. Last year, the first I went to watch the pageant I ran out of battery too, this year I made sure I charged it before going. What a pity, still you must have been in a great spot as your photos are fabulous!
