Last night I took advantage of the fact that it wasn't raining and nipped down to the Boat Harbour to take that night time shot of the lighthouse, this time with tripod! The bright security lights glaring in all the wrong places.. for photography, probably not for security, still posed a bit of a challenge. The shot above made me smile because not only does it look like I've captured a hovering spaceship..hmmm! maybe I have, but what about the ghostly fishermen in their wee boat, oh how I wish there had been three of them :) On the subject of fishermen, I couldn't resist snapping the two below cleaning their catch right under the 'No Fishing' sign..what sign? My computer is running super slow so I'm going to avoid the frustration, turn it off and catch up today. Hope you've had, or are having a fab weekend, take care and stay safe.....
What great shots! I love the lighthouse and the lighting!! The naughty fisherman made me giggle and I can always use one of those early in the morning!! Have a great week, Grace!! Take care!
ReplyDeleteAt night, with the lights on, very reminiscent of La Tour Eiffel!!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful......bad fishers!!! You now have evidence:) There is something about water at night. It's got a special quality to it. I grew up on a very large lake known as Michigan. We have lighthouses and all of that fun stuff that go with the water. Good times!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe Lighthouse is a beauty.
That looked like a spaceship.
No fishing signal ... seems to be ignored.
Hugs and kisses.
Great catch,Grace, pun intended:-). Computers, never seem to have enough memory.
ReplyDeleteThey must have figured the game and fish department would not be checking at night. They did not anticipate you and your camera.
ReplyDeleteNice results, G
ReplyDeleteAloha
My idiot ex-brother-in-law would be just the sort who'd ignore a no fishing sign...
ReplyDeleteGood shots, Grace!
What a fabulous lighthouse!
ReplyDeleteOh some super shots there lass!
ReplyDeleteThe top one is superb!
Two men in a boat, three ... Nothing that photoshop couldn't fix :-)
ReplyDeleteGood capture of the lighthouse with the bright lights.
You certainly have the talent for catching (I apologies too) a great collection of shots. They are so clear! I love the addition of the spaceship...looks real to me :). Have a super week, Grace!
ReplyDeleteLove those!
ReplyDeleteYou computer likely needs a scan and clean up, dear (or maybe just a restart :)

You caught them red handed! I love the otherworldly glow of these nightshots and, hmmmm, that UFO-y shape looks pretty otherworldy to me too!:)
ReplyDeleteThe night shots of the lighthouse are glorious Grace. Nice to see the fishermen obeying the rules. Try bribing your lazy computer with ice cream or chocolate - it works on me.
ReplyDeleteYour night shots are fabulous, Grace!
ReplyDeleteA no fishing sign is a good sign that a lot of people think it's a good spot to fish... if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteOh but obviously they caught them someplace far away. The tower looks like an oil derrick to us. Hope Oz isn't getting caught up in fracking like all over this country. Watch out or your drinking water will catch on fire.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. I wonder what those two were up to out there.
ReplyDeleteI love lighthouses...almost missed the two guys in the boat, though. I really am going blind!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics, Grace! Hehe, signs... Made to be ignored!
ReplyDeleteWell done Grace!
ReplyDeleteTalented friend, your night shots are fantastic, very well done!
ReplyDeleteHugs
