After a day in the 'jungle' (back garden) yesterday that just about killed me..this is what I hope to be doing today :) I took this shot last Sunday morning in Greens & Co. after the camera market in the Leederville Town Hall. Looking out onto Oxford St. you see some 'interesting' folk walking by, non however as colourful as my gardening companions yesterday. The Lorikeets make me smile, they always look a wee bit grumpy don't you think, but they're really quite lovely to watch and incredibly photogenic. I hope you're having a good weekend, take care and stay safe....p.s. catch up today.....

I might be inclined to become a birder if I had those beauties in my backyard!!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have such colorful birds for visitors!! I love the quizzical look!! Terrific shots, Grace!! What a bright start for my day!!! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe Lorikeets are extremely photogenic!
ReplyDeleteThose birds really are beautiful. That one appears to have you in his sights.
ReplyDeleteThey are grumpy because you play with a camera while they starve!
ReplyDeleteFeed them woman!
Those are extraordinary looking birds. Family in Jan Juc Victoria say it is getting cold. Looks warmer in Perth. Nice shots. Watch out for your back in the garden :).
ReplyDeleteHow abundant are these beautiful creatures, and are they protected by law? I just cannot imagine how exciting it must be to see them in one's garden. I get very excited when I see our red cardinals so I guess I'd be beside myself if these birds were frequent visitors here.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine what it would be like to look out and see these guys in the garden, Grace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to have those as company while weeding instead of your common sparrow and the like! Have a fun Sunday with the intellectual crowd!
ReplyDeleteYou might have asked the guy on the left to move his head. I wanted a better look at the Rattlesnake poster.
ReplyDeleteOh my Grace what a lovely specimen these two are! Lucky girl......I adore the birds that do visit me, but I yearn for some colourful characters to visit. Zilch in the colour department so far!

As photogenic as they come.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and graceful Parrots.
ReplyDeleteHugs and kisses.
I love the first slice of life shot. As for your companions, they look very much like they are having a lively conversation!
ReplyDeleteWe can learn a lesson from the Lorikeets. Look colorful and nobody will suspect we're even feeling grumpy. I like your reflection shot, too. I wondered whether the person was talking to the guy in the outside.

Great shot of the lorikeets. I can never catch them still enough.
ReplyDeleteNice color and tonal range from the E-M5. Looks like a little corner of paradise.
ReplyDeleteReally? you have these colorful birds come and visit your yard? I would be so thrilled...
ReplyDeleteI envy that guys, quite moment. I wish I could do that but I feel like I always have to be doing something. Love that shot.
ReplyDeleteI love the Lorikeets, such wonderful colours.
ReplyDeleteNice cosy ambiance in this coffee... And the curiosity of the birds is well translated by your pic, great job !
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic photos! I like bird watching, and people watching :-)
ReplyDeleteThey really are the most amazing bird. Not satisfied to be just blue or yellow or red, they decided they needed to have all those colors! But, I do love a flashy dresser!
ReplyDeleteI don't think anything this colorful could look grumpy.
ReplyDeletetwo wonderful pictures, very professional images. I love the casual ambiance in your first image and the second one is awesome, I love these birds!Girl, you are talented! :D
ReplyDeleteHugs
