It's hard to believe that Christmas has come around so fast, is it just me or does this year seem to have passed by at the speed of light..? It's been a good year, in a lot of ways it's been a 'miraculous' year for some of my family members, with next year hopefully even better. I took this shot yesterday at Scarborough Beach and it's a scene that will be pretty typical here over Christmas with Perthites flocking down to the beach for barbeques and picnics. They started predicting the weather for Christmas day at 26C, nice..then it went up to 28C, still good..the last I heard was 31C, so really the weather will be what it decides to be on the day and whatever that may be, all will be good!! My son and his new bride have arrived from Sydney to spend Christmas with us which is brilliant, but won't leave me much spare time, so I wish you a wonderful Christmas, I hope Santa brings you exactly what you wished for haha! More than anything keep yourselves safe and I'll catch up next week.....!
Un Joyeux Noel a toi aussi (mais c'est pas un temps pour le pere noel ça ;o))
ReplyDeleteAbove 800m there's snow even here.
ReplyDeleteNo sign however in the city and our garden, where Oranges and Lemons are already that ripe to drop.
Please have you all a blessed Christmas.

Merry Christmas Grace. I envy you the sun. Its still pouring with rain on and off in Sydney and terribly humid. Supposed to be a bit better tomorrow then back to the rain.
ReplyDeleteSomehow my being from the northern hemisphere I cannot imagine Christmas on the beach (at least not dressed like that, down coat, scarf, hat, gloves etc. would be more fitting here) but regardless... Christmas is joyful, hoping you enjoy your with your new daughter-in-law!

Our temps are actually rising at last on the peninsula! Yesterday and today could be considered summer weather!
Bonjour! I have seen your name often on some of my favorite blogs out there. Thank you for following French Girl in Seattle. I will be following you too, and am excited I will be learning more about Perth, Australia. So this is the weather you are having right now, eh? Not too shabby I must say. Joyeux Noël to you and your family. It must be fun to celebrate Christmas with your toes in the sand, protecting your eyes behind sunglasses. Sigh. A bientôt. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Grace. This year for me has been long and tortuous. And I am sadly expecting more of the same during 2012. The challenge for me, will be to find the gold amongst the dross. And to celebrate it ...

As «Louis» writes this in mid-afternoon, it is only now 10ºC. The day began with a reading of -2ºC - unusually cold for us.

Great shots. It's odd to think about Christmas in summer but that's one of the learning experiences of blogging.
