More fun in the sun.....

This group of young people arrived at the beach en masse and all dived into the water with great enthusiasm! It wasn't actually all that warm 25C so I'm guessing they weren't locals, maybe visiting from cooler climes, they were certainly enjoying themselves enormously, trying to pick the right waves to 'body surf' and ducking under the waves that were too big.....
They were lucky that they chose the morning for their swim, by later in the afternoon it had turned windy and cloudy, although the temperature didn't drop that much it would have been cooler on the beach.....Hope you have a great week.....!

  7. Oh my goodness I wish I was there! It was only 2˚C here today and windy (but sunny) and it felt really cold. Could use some of that warm 25˚C!!

  11. You make those of us in the northern hemisphere envious. If all goes according to plan, on January 2 I'll have my traditional post of the Polar Bear Club water skiing in the Mississippi on New Year's Day. A completely different experience.

  12. yes, we locals become quite adept at subtly potting visitors from cooler climes.

Locals wear a hoodie or something, visitors parade around in bathing suits as if it's SUMMER!
We feel the 'chill' of 70s breezy weather.

  14. There is another connection between Costa Rica and Australia, besides the popularity of surfing in both places. The Chinese have just agreed to provide nearly $1 billion USD in financing to more than double the capacity of the main oil refinery in Costa Rica -- on the Caribbean coast. An Australian construction company will do the work.

  21. Takes me back to my youth when we lived in Los Angeles...I spent most summer days at the beach body surfing and working out on the gymnastics equipment and otherwise just having fun.

Lovely series of shots - the water looks so beautiful and inviting! Nice waves, too. Not too big or too small!
