Nautical musings.....!!

A lot of my favourite reflections seem to be of the 'nautical' nature, which is a little odd as the thought of sailing out into the deep blue sea is pretty alarming to me....! Why are we so often attracted to the things that scare us the most! The above picture was taken in Fremantle harbour..... and in the one below the boats are all lined up in front of the 'pub' at Hillary's Marina.....Hope your day pans out the way you'd like it to.....

  3. Boats are attractive to me too, and yet I am quite white knuckled out in a boat (even with a life jacket on)! Love your shots!

  9. I like boats and marinas, too, Grace. Maybe because I don't live in a port city, they aren't something that bores me.

  12. I'll have the big boat on the left provided it comes with a crew, gps and life jackets.

  13. when we're living near the sea, we're always attracted by it, wether we like it or not. It's a kind of magnetic point!and when the shore is as beautiful as yours is, how to resist?!

  14. The nautical theme is indeed mesmerizing. Water is so primal that anything involved with it is fascinating.

  17. You've posed a good question. You've also given us two fantastic shots! There is just something soothing about water even if you have a healthy respect for it's dangerous side.

  19. This is also one of my favorite kinds of reflections. I feel at ease and inspired by the calm water of a marina and its boat.

  22. «Louis» would jump at the chance to be out sailing on one of these boats!
(However, some would find the presence of une vache on a boat to be quite alarming...)

  23. Les bateaux sont toujours alignés comme des militaires, dans leur port. Mais n'est-ce pas cet esprit de parfaite discipline qui nous fascine?

  26. I'm definitely not a sea person but I love your reflection photos here! So pretty! And I dream of enjoying a day out on a yacht...but know that in real life I would be hanging off the side feeding the fish. Oh well, a girl can always dream :D
