There's thunder and lightening too.. I certainly don't want to make this all about the weather, in a way I'm hoping to make any of you shivering in freezing temperatures feel a little better.... This is what I was looking at sitting working at my desk the very next day after the previous post, and although not really cold, it was pretty wild, wet and windy.....crazy huh!! Looooove it..
Strange weather everywhere. Sydney's looking at the coldest start to Summer since 1960.
ReplyDeleteAlmost fell for it, but no not quite. It is pretty cold as I write this and I am not given to exaggeration. It took me a while to warm up and dry out after returning from a friends place a walk of perhaps 10 minutes from here. That said I have lived in places where it was hot every day and I choose to live here in Yorkshire where you can experience four season in one day as the song goes.
ReplyDeleteA little summer rain is nice every now and then. Your photo makes it look down right inviting.
ReplyDeleteA very noisy morning! Being a POM I like it on the cooler side & love the rain.
ReplyDeleteTerrific rainy day shot, Grace! No rain here lately -- just gray and pretty chilly, but I don't mind as long as the wind isn't blowing. Love the water patterns on the glass!

Oh I love weather like that! We had two solid days of it with cold temps (50 is cold for us) which is very unusual for Tucson.
ReplyDeleteRight now, right here in central Florida, it is quite warm (80 degrees F plus today) but very dry. We could use some rain. I hear we are in a drought which means lots of fires in our forests.
ReplyDeleteThe rains come and that's what keeps us green and happy!
I wouldn't mind a little rain. We just finished getting the stuffing knocked out of us by an unusually strong Santa Anas. 6 days and still people are without power. They're like the full moon - bound to put a girl on edge.
ReplyDeletebtw: thanks for visiting my blog. You are a rarity in that you came back and left a comment. If you return you'll find I replied to it
Gympie : last week 30+ today 11.00 am 18.8 and steady rain. Seems the cold wet change is right across the continent.
ReplyDeleteIn a climate like ours, we can really enjoy some wild and wet weather.
ReplyDeleteIt's been raining here too but today it is just greeey! I crave some sunshine!
ReplyDeleteEvery thing seems upside-down over on this side of the continent, too, Grace. I guess we had our early summer during August.
ReplyDeleteThat does look alot warmer than the day we had today.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me realize that I know almost nothing about Perth's overall climate, other than that you are north enough to be warmish. The wet and green is attractive to us up here, where it is cold and gray.
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful. Love that image.
ReplyDeleteThis feels wet.
ReplyDeleteI love rain and I love your picture! so you may go on posting about it! :)
ReplyDeleteThe picture tells the story. Certainly cheered up this shivering wretch!
ReplyDeleteAh well, we need water don't we?
ReplyDeleteThat's my window!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful detail of a rainy day, Grace!
ReplyDeleteIn Norwich we're actually a bit envious! It's almost mid winter and the pundits are saying we have drought conditions here! Makes me feel guilty thinking about hot summers!
ReplyDeleteIt's great your windows is looking out at the green and nature, mine is looking out at the wall ! but it has been raining every afternoon or evening in KL ...
ReplyDeleteLovely capture... There is something very evocative about rain streaming down glass (presuming one is on the right side of the window of course!)
ReplyDeletelove this shot. there is something so universal about looking at the weather through a window...but this definitely doesn't look like new england.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have moved beyond yesterday's thunderstorms, lightning and rain. Great shot Grace.
ReplyDeleteWish I was seeing this outside my window. The gray skies here make me not even want to step outside. :(
ReplyDeleteI love a lazy day inside gazing out into the rain! Beautiful shot of the rain against the window! ;-D
ReplyDeleteits raining rain hallelujah .. much less messy then when it rains men, eh? ;-)
ReplyDeleteglad you're enjoying that wet and wild feeling. ^0^
ReplyDeletenice shot of the raindrops.
as for me, sometimes I love the rain, sometimes I don't. ^0^
so easy the photo, you can take a graphic shot whithout Get tired
ReplyDeleteNice one. I used to really dislike rainy days -- until I moved to Florida. Now, they're so few and far between, I've grown to appreciate them. Have a cup of tea and enjoy listening to the pitterpatter of raindrops (in between lightning strikes...lol).
ReplyDeleteYou can't have rainbows without the rain!
ReplyDeletelove the rains!
ReplyDeleteOK, you got bad weather too and in summer. Great picture, by the way...
ReplyDeleteRain, rain, beautiful rain...
ReplyDeletehee hee...
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Quite a contrast to the previous post!
this photo is really very nice! I like it...
ReplyDeleteyou have a beautiful blog, and if you don't mind I will follow you... so that I can see something about Australia...
beautiful, Grace....
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Re your comment that Haagen Dazs was "good" - You betcha! Way too good. And it's very had for me to stay away from such a good thing! Which is very bad for me! :-)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rain. Would ya like the snow headed here tonight?
ReplyDeleteWell done, Grace! It's a lovely image.
