It seems strange that although I'm not keen on sailing (deep water and all that)...yet I am drawn to sailing vessels of every type. I love looking at them and they are definitely one of my most favorite things to photograph. Whenever I visit the Fisherman's Wharf at Fremantle there are always so many different types of boats from luxury yachts, huge container ships, tugs and the fishing boats pictured above. I think as a postcard these vessels would probably represent the Fisherman's Wharf most accurately and it is my picture for this months theme day.....

beau reflet des bateaux, et une superbe couleur pour ces memes bateaux
ReplyDeleteI'd buy that card! Nice one, Grace.
ReplyDeleteLove this shot! I find myself often at Fishermens' Terminal in Seattle taking photos... it is one of my favorite spots.. if I can't think of somewhere else I default to take shots of fishing and crab boats...
ReplyDeleteGrace, It is a wonderful photo to represent the area, and isn't that what postcards do? I have kept postcards for years and have quite a collection. I would definitely want this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful perspective!!
ReplyDeleteYou've even got very oceanic colors here. The ocean beyond Perth looks so vast and empty on a globe.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and truly a wonderful shot! Postcard!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blues and I like that threatening sky.
ReplyDeleteI have loved getting to know Perth but more than that getting to know YOU ! Isn't this blog thing so grand. I feel a part of your city and in a way your life as well.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
V
I would by this if it were a postcard. What a beautiful photograph.
ReplyDeleteI am like you. No interest in boating, but I love the waterfront scenes. Yours is a beauty and definitely postcard-worthy. Amazing, Grace, amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis should inspire artists, as the colors reflecting in the water are superb. Perhaps Irina from Moscow Daily Photo will be inspired to paint this scene.
ReplyDeleteLet me chime in and say, I'm also the same way. I love to look at the boats and the water but, I don't have any desire to go sailing. I've only been on one cruise in my life and regardless of how my friends tried to convince me it's the only way to travel, I was completely bored. Give my beautiful cities to walk around and I'm there. I can walk and walk and walk and love every minute of it. On the ship, twice around and that was it, I'd seen it all.
ReplyDeleteLove this post card photo!
Hi Grace, lovely colours and reflections. You've let me experience the boats without getting sea sick (which I always do)!
ReplyDeleteLovely reflections, beautiful sky and blues all over.
ReplyDelete(I still sometimes say: 'I can't belieeeeeeeve it'!)
Lovely....

A lovely postcard Grace -boats on still water with reflections - beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of boats - really brings the beauty of Freemantle to me. I remember visiting some years back and loving it then.
ReplyDeleteThose boats look bigger than ours, it's probably the ocean...
ReplyDeleteI love the boating having lived near a coast almost all my life. The photography in a harbor is a treasure regardless the weather, time of day, or season. It is full of life, colorful, reflective and has an abundance of contrasts. Great shot, mon amie.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
A fantastic harbor view of those lovely boats!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a pretty postcard....
Strong coloring... so worthy!
ReplyDeleteso colored :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture Grace. Love the vibrancy and reflections in this image.
ReplyDeleteStrong colours and nice reflections, a beautiful postcard!
ReplyDeleteNo fisherman boats here anymore, only yachts and other sailing boats. Nice reflections!
ReplyDeleteBoats are attractive because they're a promise of adventures , of dreams, of elsewhere..I enjoy to look at them too during hours.
ReplyDeleteGreat. Each ship is another story, another destiny. Where sailed everywhere with their owners. They could tell. Sorry, I just thought. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteIt makes for a lovely postcard! Nice one, Grace.
ReplyDeleteanother amazing picture. I love the different shades of blue and the blurring reflection is an added bonus.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition, the blue tone, the reflection of the boats and the impressive sky make a wonderful image!
ReplyDeletewow! love the saturated effect in this.
ReplyDeletewell angled and good perspective.
looking at it from afar,
it's almost like a painting. ^0^
I'm with you ... but the colours and reflections make a stand-out shot! What is it about water that glams up a scene?!?!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I'm late on all my comments lately. This photo is just gorgeous! I love all the colors. And since I get seasick just thinking about getting on a boat but still love to watch them, I think I know what you mean :D
ReplyDeleteFantastic shot! Perfect for James' meme too.
