Who needs a dishwasher.....!!
It's a seriously gloomy day here in Perth (it had to happen, it is winter after all) and for this reason I felt the need to post something bright and colourful.. This is my kitchen window ledge and these are some roses I cut just before I pruned the bushes for winter, so about a month ago! I wish I could remember the name of this rose, the tags disappeared ages ago (and my memory long before that!!), they have the most amazing smell which is why I like them just there, so that as I wash the dishes (am I the only person in the world who doesn't see the need for a dishwasher?) the perfume wafts up and makes everything seem just that little bit more special.....!! I hope the sun is shining and the birds singing in your part of the world, have a happy day.....!!

it might take aa few hours until birds will start to sing, currently about 70F, 02.00 in the morning, lemons getting green and ever since I moved to Athens, I do the dish washing by hand, and yes, it feels sometimes like meditation to me.
ReplyDeletea nice weekend for you all.

ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
When my son moved from the USA to Argentina, when I visited him for the first time I exclaimed, "Hey, you don't have a dishwasher." He replied, "Sure I do. She comes on Tuesdays and Thursdays."
ReplyDeleteNo such modern compliance here either!
ReplyDeleteNice roses!
pretty flowers...its raining hard in this part of the world(india)!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, lovely summer bouquet.
ReplyDelete17° here. Yes, that's summer.
And yes, that was the hall of mirrors!
No dishwasher here! I am the dishwasher!
ReplyDeleteThe roses are joyful and a pleasant image during the winter months. Looks like the chick in the corner of the photo enjoys them too!
ReplyDeletePS. Had to laugh at your comment on my blog today.
What a gorgeous shot! The light is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFrumos trandafir!
ReplyDeleteFantastic colors! Is your vase a hen?.. I love hens in kitchens!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a romantic, Grace. The flowers are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou are not alone Perth! I wash the dishes after dinner and gaze out the window too!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you keep your lucky day! Roses are in our "full" bloom. But somehow, and strangely enough. Summer like we missed this year. Almost every day it rains and is often very cold at this time. Today only 14 ° C. Other years is around 25 to 30 degrees. We have no dishwasher either. We're only two and a few dishes. Never mind me wash him. Your photo is beautiful roses. As I felt the smell of roses in a vase on the table. Have a good time! And thank you for your comment. Peter.
ReplyDeleteThat was convenient.

Beautiful roses.... but I can't live without my dishwasher :-)
ReplyDeleteoh gosh, we're old age here. haha, I personally have to manually wash my dishes. (whether i like or not).
ReplyDeletei think we rely too much on the maids that a dishwasher isn't a necessity. ^-^
