Very Jack the Ripper.....!!
I would love to take credit for the above pictures of an unusually foggy Friday night in Perth, but no can do! My daughter and a group of her friends went in to the city to listen to some Jazz, and like me, she usually has her camera to hand (thank goodness)....just in case!! Given that 'low level clouds' are not a usual occurrence in Perth I should imagine there were many camera buffs out there snapping away like mad!! I know I would have been..... if I hadn't been ensconced cozily by the fire watching a French movie, c'est la vie.....!!

Don't you just love photographing in the fog! Spooky and moody.

Sure does look like London - was going to ask what you were doing in Northbridge on a night like this! These shots would win 1st prize in a comp.
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the hound of the Baskervilles baying.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing fog shots. They look like scenes from a movie.
ReplyDelete:-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day !

Too cold and foggy for me Grace! - Give me the wood fire and French movie anyday!
ReplyDeleteYes, or the the Maltese Falcon, would you turn your photos black and white
ReplyDeleteGeniales tus fotos de niebla.
ReplyDeleteSaludos y un abrazo.
Oh gosh, this reminds me of my first encounter with Jack the Ripper at Madame Tussaud's in London... I had nightmares for 2 weeks (I was a kid at the time!) The first photo especially with the young lady leaning is perfect to go with the title!
ReplyDeleteShe's an able assistant, indeed. Though it looks a bit too active out there for Jack the Ripper.
ReplyDeleteI really like the split in the color temperature. Such drama!
ReplyDeleteIt also looks kind of like the set of Thriller! Very creepy and cool! :D
ReplyDeleteI was really more concerned about wolfmen than Jack the Ripper, apparently the fog is full of them.
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots. I'm so glad she took them and shared them with us. Like you, this type of event rarely happens in the Phoenix area but, it sure makes for a great photography event when it does.
ReplyDeleteToo many cars, but we got the idea!
ReplyDeleteVery atmospheric, shame the cars are on the wrong side of the road.....
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots Grace. Hope the movie was a good one! Have a great week.
ReplyDeletebelle serie , en effet une ambiance de film noir
ReplyDeleteIa gree about the Ripper, but I'm also thinking of the movie poster or the "Exorcist", the first one..Brrrr! Fog is a thing we NEVER have here on the french Riviera. Now , I'm wondering WHAT french film were you watching?..
ReplyDeleteDo you know le "tour de France", a famous bike race? For the fist time, an Australian guy won it! Cadel Evans.
ReplyDelete(sorry for the mistakes in previous com.I meant "I agree" and poster oF"
wow, these night shots really created that creepy effect! ^0^
ReplyDeletewhile the 1st foto looks somewhere that was taken in Europe, i definitely like the 3rd foto, captivating! ^-^
these shots should be a dark detective movie.
ReplyDeleteTalk about moody! Love it.
ReplyDeleteVery Ripperesque! We always refer to foggy weather as "Real Jack The Ripper climes" too :-)
ReplyDeleteEspectaculares imagenes, gracias por compartir.
ReplyDeletees un placer pasar por tu casa.
feliz semana.
un abrazo.
The first photo is creepy, and very good.
ReplyDeleteMust have been a joy to breath. As I am deeply in love with rain, missing it much.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good new week.
Very Jack the Photograpper..!! Preciosas fotos, un saludo.
ReplyDeleteHa! You're right, just add a black cab and it could be London's Whitechapel!
ReplyDeleteVery Jack the Ripper indeed! Great shots, congratulations to your daughter.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Perfect with the title. The one and third photos with the people walking are great. Yes, like in a movie.
ReplyDeleteYes, like Malyss, I want to know what movie you were watching!
ReplyDeleteI really love the fourth one.
