The expression 'the grass is always greener' could not be more true when it is winter in one half of the world and summer on the other.. well for me anyway :) When I see the magical images of landscapes covered in snow that my fellow photo bloggers in the Northern Hemisphere post I think how wonderful to be there decked out in coats, scarves, gloves and beanies, hurtling snowballs playfully about, building snowmen.. you know what I mean :) and I'm sure for many, not all, the idea of wearing shorts, tee shirts and sunhats, walking or swimming by the sea is just as appealing right now.. ah well, it takes a pandemic to bring us back down to earth and appreciate exactly what we have, at least until we can travel again 😉 Artist unknown but loved the vibrant mural above spotted when in Leederville last week. Happy Monday, take care and stay safe..

Dearest Grace,
ReplyDeleteNo, please let me have full summer instead of any cold or snow! We were both happiest during the years we lived on Java, Indonesia!
Hugs,
Mariette
Nice capture of the flower girl.
ReplyDeleteI will trade places with you any day Grace.
ReplyDeleteWow, quite a colourful one Grace. I do prefer the heat too, 6 years of snow when we lived in Germany were enough for me :)
ReplyDelete...I'm dream of the beach, but it won't come true this year!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so cheerful and warm! We have warmed up to -3˚C here this afternoon but no snow at all on the ground. It isn't fun when the wind blows the cold air at you.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much to take in on that mural. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in that one are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love this visit, G
ReplyDeleteI like that painting.
ReplyDeleteToday here we have deep cold and wind chills to deal with.
There's a good amount of detail and the birds are really nice.
ReplyDeleteShe looks very prim and proper gazing out to the sun setting over the sea.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the weather. Even Arizona is seeing some winter weather right at the moment.
I love that whimsical look, it art form I like to try.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Give me a walk by the sea any day Grace.
ReplyDeleteOh, Grace, it would be true if real summers were guaranteed here. Some are but 20-25C. And I don´t see us being able to come to Perth anytime soon. The vaccines are unsafe and who knows if they work with the mutations already around.
ReplyDeleteBut, yes, the murals spreads hope. I miss it all.
Reminds me of the Hippies-area, the wonderful 70´s 😍💃
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteThe flower girl is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI was "out and about" this weekend and I couldn't visit you!
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Beautiful mural and weather. Why will we always the opposite of what we have. Must be a wrong way of thinking I guess.
ReplyDeleteA lovely colourful flowergirl. Well enjoy your nice weather as long as you can! We will not complain anymore, today is frosty but at least the sun is shining! So must better than those endles rainfalls...
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I keep praying that the snow keeps away! At the moment here it is rain, rain rain and mud, mud, mud!! Stay safe Diane
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the temperature, our ceiling fans and air conditioning are being well used this Summer, it's been up to 30 deg
