Home from Sydney for a week now catching up with and taking pics of what's been going on in Perth.. as always, lots! When in Sydney I like to take a different view of my favourite Sydney Harbour Bridge, seen faintly in the background above from Circular Quay where Aimee and I had an early breakfast on our last day, accompanied by a pair of cheeky rainbow lorikeets after the sugar on our table :) Below, the bridge as seen from the Museum of Contemporary Art. It gets harder each time we have to say au revoir to our Sydney famille although this time it was more like à bientôt as we will see them in a few weeks when they come over for Christmas. Looking forward to catching up and seeing what you have been up to while I was away, bear with me! Happy Saturday, take care and stay safe..
The gorgeous little sweeties are best of all, of course.
ReplyDeleteI really hope to photograph that bridge myself one day.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Grace, love the b/w with the colourful lorikeets.
ReplyDeleteNow you've whetted my fervor to taste Sydney for myself. Minus the birds, of course! Lovely shots and I'm glad you had a good time!
ReplyDeleteThe birds are a welcome sight, and the kids are cute!
ReplyDeletehi Grace! parrots are really cool! ew
ReplyDeleteI can SO relate to your bridge love. After 2 years here, EVERY time I see or cross the Golden Gate Bridge I am enraptured. (It is my Diamond Head - so to speak). Also I really relate to family a plane ride away: I must needs go to Honolulu early next year to see family - and Diamond Head (the land is my family too . You get that :) GLAD to see you well and bearing cool photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see you home and well, Grace! Love that 1st pic in particular!
ReplyDeleteThought of you this morning when I put my Blundstones on for the first time this winter - also down coat & gloves since it is still only -9˚C at 1 pm.
Glad you and your mojo are back, Grace!

TeeHee love those naughty lorikeets. I hope the cafe patrons check the seats for lorikeet poo before they sit down! When I was in Australia I only had a view of Sydney from the airport. I'd love to go back and visit. I'm glad you had a wonderful time with your family. Very cute little ones sitting in your Bridge picture.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back. I love your Sydney photos. I can't believe those gorgeous lorikeets visit your table like that. What fun.
ReplyDeleteYou just take all the time you need. Looking forward to future postings from the great eastern landscape.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Wonderful to hear you're well and what a treasure of memories, every trip to visit family always adds more chapters of love. Now for these first two photos, first there was one, then a mate came by! Just adore the black and white and their commanding beauty of richness!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you are back and had such a great time, esp with those little ones!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home! Those lorikeets are so beautiful. We don't have anything quite so colorful.
