'You can't win unless you learn how to lose'.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar..
Snapped a couple of quick shots yesterday of the two above shooting hoops as we were leaving Elizabeth Quay heading back to the CBD. Although there was a difference in age the older gent was holding his own.. made me think of the expression 'it ain't over till the fat lady sings' :) That's the Esplanade behind, a mixture of old and new architecture. Can you guess which I prefer, especially as the 1920's Art Deco facade was preserved, check out some interior shots here.. fabulous! Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..
Very modern architecture all around that court!
ReplyDelete...what an exciting mix of architecture.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of old and new. Strange to find a basketball hoop in the city.
ReplyDeleteThe Deco building holds its own with those younger ones too, Grace! ;-))
ReplyDeleteI love that ladt photo. Such beautiful architecture.
ReplyDeleteI say Grace prefers the Esplanade.
ReplyDeleteThe last photo tells it all. Deco wins hands down and those other buildings that surround it, highlight the Deco even more. Nice shots Grace!
ReplyDeleteNice neighbourhood to wander around and enjoy the different architecture.
ReplyDeleteOld guys with grey hair ought not be taking on young guys with unlimited stamina. :) I know that from experience. And I rather like the older building that all that modern glass and steel! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a very nice building and I am pleased it is there. The interior is well done too, modern but still deco.
ReplyDeleteI know I would have to drive over an hour to see any big building.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Amazing building. Great clicks.
ReplyDeleteThe city streets look quiet except for the basketball game.
ReplyDeleteThat Art Deco building is a standout in many ways. Its lobby looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteThat´s a wonderful pic with the tow guys, Grace! Could be father and son…
ReplyDeleteYou made me smile big again, never heard 'it ain't over till the fat lady sings' 😊
Beautiful pics of the inside of The Esplanade!

I am jealous to see the sunny photos, it is all so grey and rainy here....
ReplyDeleteI love these skyline photos. I can't get over how much that "striped" building looks like one here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice picture of the 2 men. It proves age doesn't matter :)
ReplyDeletePerth certainly is a lovely city!
