I can't go by a sign that makes me smile, how about you? The sign here declaring the slaughter of grapes for human pleasure :) seemed so appropriate for today. Right out of left field we are looking at a sweltering 37C..then thankfully the heat will disappear from whence it came :) and the week ahead will resume with spring like temps. The sign, and Hay St. reflections caught in the window of Gramercy Bar and Kitchen. Which would it be for you on a hot day, for moi maybe a 'shandy' but to be honest not much puts me off tea/coffee :) Have a super weekend, take care and stay safe...
Great and funny signs Grace. Have a lovely weekend and stay out of the heat!
ReplyDeleteFunny signs, Grace! Here we're down near the freezing mark.
ReplyDeleteWell at least the weather gives us something to talk about.
ReplyDeleteTwo very fun signs...our heat is mitigating finally, although it will be about 85 F today. Nothing like a cold beer on a hot day, though! Stay strong!
ReplyDeleteIt probably won't interest you in the least but this morning I awoke to frost on the lawn and the dahlias looking very sorry for themselves. But that of course is no reason not to partake in a glass or two of wine or beer this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like both of these signs, Grace! It is warm here for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteMuito interessante.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Good excuses to have a drink ;) Arianna
ReplyDeleteThose signs made me smile. Grapes slaughtered for the benefit of humans, oh so very sad. Now on to the weather segment of this post. Temps were about 8C and we had a little outburst of hail, followed by a rainbow that didn't last long enough for me to grab my camera and then the sun came and hung out the rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteSo Grace have yourself a lovely weekend!
Both signs are really funny :)) Temperatures here will get below zero next week!
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at this sign, I will drink to that!
ReplyDeleteWe're sharing a laugh, G! Enjoy your sunny weekend
ReplyDeleteI love the clever signs...and I always enjoy your reflection shots, Grace!
ReplyDeleteI remember walking past that place and although I forget now, it did have something witty on the blackboard. I checked, 'Soup de jour: Beer'.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I guess I'll just have to check out the math. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, no! Slaughter of grapes! The people for the ethical treatment of grapes will get upset. I think I'll have a bottle of 97% water. Have a great weekend Grace.
ReplyDeleteI have said it before, it is like medicine for me who are covered up in all my woollen/warm clothes here up in the north of Europe.... to see how hot and nice life is "Down Under". Enjoy the season!
ReplyDeleteYou bumped from cold into a heatwave, great temperatures!
ReplyDeleteI'd be having a tall iced tea! So, things are starting to heat up down there right when things are finally starting to cool down a bit here. I guess that's the way the world turns.
ReplyDeleteOh, those poor Grapes, Grace! They for sure did not have a nice weekend ;-)
ReplyDeleteNow... off to get some "water" ;-)
Drink plenty of whatever makes you happy, Grace.
ReplyDeleteBeer, water, or wine. Why not try all three?
