El Caballo Blanco 1..

I remember years ago how wonderful it was to see the Andalusian Dancing horses at El Caballo Blanco. Back in the early 70's Perth entrepreneur Ray Williams imported Spanish stallion Bodeguero and five purebred mares and established Australia's first Andalusian Stud, the 'Bodeguero Stud'. We went out to El Caballo, now known as the El Caballo Resort, on Sunday to see a vintage car event. Now more of a residential and 'event' venue it was a little sad to see the former magic a little jaded. As the horses are still stabled here we were treated to a delightful dance by this beauty. White horse, midday sun.. I did the best I could :)

Yes you're gorgeous..  you're getting a wee bit close.. oh ok I'll give you a pat.. good boy don't bite me :) I think horses are wonderful creatures but I've always been a bit nervous of them, they have such big teeth :) but he was lovely and gentle. There was a lot going on on Sunday, will show you more, happy Thursday, take care and stay safe...

  1. What a wonderful and beautiful creature. Most of our horses are thoroughbreds (racing) and jumpers but we have a lot of them...over 200 horses farms in Ocala and area. So we are horse lovers and I would love to see this one put through the paces.

  12. Most horses don't bite, so no reason to be afraid of them. Andalusian horses are really beautiful, and often very will schooled. Surprising to see them outside of he Spanish Riding Academy. Lovely series of photos.

  18. I worked there as an apprentice rider 1978 to 79. I rode Abajo (who later died)with Sharon on Brandy in a par de deux, and Ruffian, son of Enbajador, solo. I am now blind and ride with Claremount therapeutic riding centre. The horses at ECB were truly magical
