Yesterday evening around 7.30 Aimee and I zipped down to Hillarys Boat Harbour to see if we could get any decent shots of the Super Moon from atop the lighthouse. It was an epic fail on my part, the same old story no tripod etc. but I did quite like this shot above of the lighthouse reflection in the water and the after sunset sky. The shot below, taken from where you can see the people above, may not look so super moonish, you're just going to have to take my word for it :) Might have another try tonight..with a tripod! Happy Tuesday, take care and stay safe..
...super none the less!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Grace!
ReplyDeleteLovely, Grace!
ReplyDeleteIncredible! Thanks for bringing sunshine to our world!
ReplyDeleteYou got two wonderful photos from the experience at any rate. I'm like you - I can never get a decent moon shot without a tripod.
ReplyDeleteLater I'm going to take photos ;) Arianna
ReplyDeleteGreat clicks.
ReplyDeleteWE had a wonderfully clear sky here so the view of the moon was fabulous. I didn't even try for a pic!
ReplyDeleteYou two gorgeous shots! I missed the moon entirely. I have no idea what I was thinking but, I totally forgot about it.
ReplyDeletegreat picture! i tried to catch the super moon this night... but i failed. too much lights i town.. ew =)
ReplyDeleteI love these shots, G
ReplyDeleteWhat moon?
ReplyDeleteSuper shot of the lighthouse!
Still super! These are great images, Grace.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice moon shot. None here but we got clouds instead. :)
ReplyDeleteCloud cover spoilt our view, but I did see it briefly. I really like the second photo.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a super moon photo, at least the photo is super.
ReplyDeleteThe heck with the super moon. Your lighthouse shot is super!
ReplyDeleteAt least you saw the moon. Cloud cover here. The supermoon may not look much bigger than normal, but the moon will be at its closest distance to us for a long time. I love the lighthouse photo.
ReplyDeleteLooks nice and peaceful. I am glad you took the trip and brought your cameras around too.
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen a super moon last night, to many clouds here, I'll have to wait 48 years for the next chance :)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a bright reflection!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics, Grace. Here it was cloudy, sadly... or rather is...
ReplyDeleteI think both images are beautiful. Colors are amazing. We just had a cloudy sky with only a slight view...like you say, maybe tonight :).
ReplyDeleteGrace ... these are great shots. The colour in them is wonderful to see.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Two beautiful shots, Grace !
ReplyDeleteI've seen the moon from here, it was not so super as the media said...
I tried photographing the supermoon too, but my camera is just not quite good enough. And it was a bit cloudy.
ReplyDeleteTotally overcast, rainy and cloudy here, didn't see a thing. Will wait for the next one, in 2034
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. We didn't see the moon at all.
ReplyDeleteThey are still beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteStill a few fine snaps here.
