Not 'little green men'.....!

It's not often that you look up from your coffee (there was cake also) to see a green man striding towards you.. my reflexes can't be all that bad, I had about four 'strides' to focus and click :) Ah! the weird and wonderful things you see in the city. Yesterday Aimee and I checked out the Christmas markets organized by Made on the Left, a not-for-profit organization formed in 2008 by independent designers to support Western Australian creative talent. Aimee made a bit of a dent in her Xmas shopping list, me.. not so much!
Come on, you know there has to be a tree..it's nearly Christmas..what was that.. did I hear a 'bah humbug' :))
Carillon City has Christmas all wrapped up....!
On the way home we got held up for ages, at least ten minutes :) by one of the many roadworks going on in Perth at the moment.....
... but it did give me time to snap this gorgeous red leafed tree, I have no idea what it is but it looked so pretty there on the side of the road.....
If you need a bit of TLC 'Guys Grooming' below is the place to go..that didn't sound right :) but you know what I mean! the reviews are all good.  Hope that you're having a super weekend, will catch up today. Take care.....

  2. Green is a Christmas color, but I think he needs a little darker shade of green to embody the Christmas spirit.

It takes a bold and confident man to wear an outfit like that in public. But, then again, he is not showing his face.

Maybe he just wants to show pick-pocketers that he has no pockets and nothing to steal.

  7. When you use a camera a lot, you get good enough to get into action and take a photo that many would miss. Have a good weekend!

  8. There's a good story there about the green man I bet. It's so odd to see people in shorts beside a Christmas tree.

  19. I've seen people in those one-color body suits at events here and don't quite get it. You have to have a pretty good physique to get away with it.

  22. Green Guy probably lost a bet with his pals who look to be laughing their heads off.

  23. Looks like you had a very active day while us desert dwellers were dealing with a winter storm that was producing a lot of rain. We mostly stayed in doors this weekend. I did have a dinner party to attend on Saturday. It was a Greek theme so I looked up a few Greek recipes to try out on the group. Turned out great.

  25. Those green men I have once seen here too, don't know what it is anymore, but must be rather hot to walk that way around. You are in a real Christmas mood thre already I see. Always strange to see Christmas in a warm country, while we are shivering here...

  26. Puts me in a holiday mood! I love the sign in that last photo, but had to smile a that (perfectly-focused) little green man and the sweet tree. Good luck making a dent in your list!
