Glow in the dark.....!
Last weekend it was the Colour Run to raise money for Princess Margaret Children's Hospital.. this weekend it was the Neon Run held in the Claremont Showgrounds to raise money for Beyond Blue an organization working to bring awareness to and reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the community. It never ceases to amaze me the way Perthites throw themselves so enthusiastically into these charity events and I'd like to say a huge merci beaucoup to Aimee for letting me show these shots she took while participating in the run. How was your weekend, what did you get up to? Oh and btw the 'subliminal' message in Saturdays post was in the eye chart..'eating peri peri is good for you' :))

Colorful. Looks like a fun event.
ReplyDeleteWow, you made some wonderful photos, it is always difficult to make picutures in the dark but you managed very well.
ReplyDeleteSuch lights always give a very strange mood to usual places !

Boy if this run itself help to overcome depression then I don't know what will. Wish I could have participated !

Totally impressed!
ReplyDeleteFun and good times, happiness and joy yet again. Can you not find some miserable people to make me feel at home for a change?
ReplyDeleteWonderful color! Great for lifting the spirits!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun evening.
ReplyDeleteBrighter than the Color Run but even more dramatic with high contrast. Love the eye makeup a few pictures down.
ReplyDeleteI did a little research on these projects. Although all the events help a local charity to an extent, but the sponsors are all private, for-profit businesses. I'd never hear of it three years ago. Now there four or five of them in our mid-sized city.
Lovely neon colours and another win for charity.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time was had by many! Missing Perth! It is HOT HOT Humid here in Singapore!
ReplyDeleteLovely set of photos. Well done. Have a good day. Diane
ReplyDeleteWow! What a kaleidoscope of colour Grace. Love the one of the glowing eye masks. Gee Perth is really jumping with festivals at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Where does Aimee get her energy? Pretty photos and gorgeous girl!
ReplyDeleteNow that is an interesting idea for a runI Love the colorful glow! We are in Chicago. My daughter ran the Hot Chocolate 15K last week....and then we celebrated by having brunch at a place called Hot Chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI'd go for the color alone. Oh WOW!
ReplyDeleteThat last one is me.
ReplyDeleteglow in the dark stuff is so much fun!
ReplyDeleteThe more I think about it, the more I want to export Perth to Versailles!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great festival. If this is the first one, I expect it will be huge next year.
