Dio..drama.....!

I took this shot from the 13th floor of One40 William St. using the diorama setting on my camera.. it's a pretty cool effect which I think works best as here, when taking a shot from up high giving a 'scale model' feel to the cars below.. not often 'up high' I have to take these opportunities when I can :) You can see the Horseshoe Bridge which at the moment is the main link between Northbridge and the CBD, already the Fremantle rail line has been sunk below ground.. this short video shows how it will look when the Perth City Link project is complete, it will make such a difference to the dynamics of Perth City and I'm very much looking forward to it! I might have to take progress shots from this same spot as things move along.. happy Thursday, take care.....

  1. I love views from above. It's even better than looking at maps, and I like doing that too.

  4. I've looked at the railway project before and found it difficult to visualise. Your photo makes it very clear.

  5. I have never seen a setting on my cameras like that of course I am behind times. It does look neat how it renders it.

  6. Strange effect, not sure if I like it or not. Distance shots from up high are best for that.

Grace, you made a comment on my blog the other day. I answered there--with a question about Australia....

  17. At first I thought that was part of an airport terminal. My imagination has no concept of Perth's geography. Some day, maybe . . .

  20. I have heard this effect called "tilt shift". Not sure why but it is pretty cool. Makes the city look like a child's toy.
