Up, up...and all the way there hopefully.....!!
Firstly I apologize for lack of communication and comments yesterday, I was in the grip of 'le grand mal de tête' brought about no doubt by having to face possibly one of my biggest fears...flying! I will do it because let's face it the thought of never going to Paris again is too horrible to contemplate, add to that my son and first born is getting married on Saturday and as they have been living in Sydney for the last few years this is where they will wed, so face it I must...heavily sedated, the only way to fly haha! To top things off we are flying Qantas and between you and me they've been causing me a little 'anxiety' lately with one thing and another! As I want to be IN the photos at this wedding, I won't be official photographer, but to enhance the 'matrimonial mood' here are two pictures from a wedding I did last year. I'll be off the 'blogger sphere' for the next nine days, returning hopefully (if the plane doesn't CRASH..see what I'm like!!) with some good shots of the wedding to show you. Take care, I sincerely hope you have a peaceful week whichever part of the world you abide in.....

Very sweet pictures, Grace. Don't worry about the flight. The odds of a problem are infinitesimal. And, of course, ENJOY YOUR SON'S WEDDING! It is your job to be a charming hostess for the guests and a strong mother for your son. Chin up, Grace!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the wedding!
ReplyDeleteI hate flying too - I never sleep just in case I need to be available for something (Who knows what) and every bit of turbulence gives me HUGE anxiety. But like you the desire to be in the other place overcomes the fear somewhat! Have fun!!!
I'm not a good flyer either... I pray a lot! Enjoy your son's wedding!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Enjoy your son's wedding.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet are the pics. Hope your sons wedding is as sweet and joyous.Fiona
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your flight. This year I took a plane 22 times.I wish your sun a very nice wedding and take a lot of shots.
ReplyDeleteBye bye from Italy.
Oh, c'mon. The plane is fun. Order another drink. Hope you have a great time.
ReplyDeleteLove your delightful captures! Wishing you a great, safe trip and a beautiful wedding for your son! I look forward to seeing some wedding photos when you return! Enjoy, Grace!!

Wonderful photos. I hope it's a quick place ride so you can enjoy your time with your son.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be fine. Those shots are wonderful. Enjoy the wedding.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your son! Have a wonderful time! I have to say that I must be your exact opposite. I jump at a chance to get on a plane. After all, I spent 15 years of my life on one at least once a week. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteTrès belle photos...
ReplyDeletePierre
They're so cute and beautiful... Have a peaceful weekend too for tou Grace. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, especially the 1st is SUPER!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your son's wedding, Grace.
Oh what a happy occasion!!! I can't wait to see the fantastic photos you'll take there! Although I'm a very calm flyer (usually fall asleep before the plane even takes off) I have to agree with you. It's really a miracle every time that huge chunk of machinery leaves the ground! Wishing you safe travels! You (or rather your pilot) will be in my thoughts :D
ReplyDeleteComme ils sont mignons, les enfants dans cette tenue! Je suis sûr que le mariage va bien se passer, et ton vol aussi.
ReplyDeleteA bientôt, Gracie!
Air travel is the safest for of transport, even flying by Quantas! It is the waiting before the flight, finding luggage, and the hordes of people wandering about that annoy. The flying will be a relief after that.
ReplyDeleteOOPs I meant to say enjoy the occasion to the full, and ensure at least a little camera is with you!
ReplyDeleteI am certain all will be peaceful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy :)
we'll be surrounding you with good flying karma. have a wonderful time at the wedding. looking forward to your return.
ReplyDeleteThe fear, is what one fears the most. Enjoy your trip and don't bother. Driving a car is much more dangerous.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet
ReplyDeleteSchöne Bilder von der kleinen Prinzessin.
ReplyDeleteKeine Angst und viel Spaß.

Flying sucks. Or at least it did after I was in a plane struck by lightning! But what happened, you ask? Well ... nothing!!! Enjoy the wedding!
ReplyDeleteFélicitations à ton fils et bon voyage !
ReplyDeleteVery cute wedding photos from last year! Think happy thoughts and close your eyes when you take off and land in an airplane - ha! Congrats on the wedding in your family! Photos please....
ReplyDelete«Louis» doesn't have a fear of flying, a bit odd perhaps, in that he has a bad case of acrophobia!
ReplyDeleteCute shots of the kids!
We look forward to your return!
Beautiful photos! Hope the flight is not too bad for you... I can sympathise - I am a very nervous flyer!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the happy couple :-) Look forward to your posts when you get back....
Ah, Grace! I'd hire you to take wedding photos anytime. These are both superb in every way...it's hard to put into words but you've captured the "essence" of the kids in each and each has it's own particular delights!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe, perhaps, but you're safer flying when traveling than using any other mode of transportation.
I'm sure the wedding will be wonderful and the happy couple will appreciate your photos more than the 'professional' ones!
These are wonderfully sweet photos! And I feel for you about flying - I'm the same way. Like Meg Ryan in the movie Frech Kiss...
ReplyDeleteHappy travels!
deux magnifiques photos, des anges, bravo
ReplyDeleteThese photos of the little ones are exquisite! Love the unposed feel! The first one especially seems to be a flow of magic materials and a sweet little upturned face! Enjoy your son's wedding!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet pictures. I hope you enjoy your son's wedding.

Be sure to enjoy the wedding. Flying is really really safe; I KNOW since I was a flight attendant for 6 years and know the ins and outs of flying. Take a good book, some crossword puzzles, perhaps some music, settle down and relax. You want to be fresh and happy for the big day. Enjoy your role!!
ReplyDeletefly safely our dear bird lady!
ReplyDeleteAnd bring us your colorful song to enjoy here in your place. . .
