This row of Corella's (Corella) sitting on my pool fence are enjoying the warmth of the early morning sun and the birdseed that I throw out onto the lawn each day. There is a definite pecking order, these Corella's and the Galah's (Galah) being a bit bigger own the first round....
Then come the Lorikeets (Lorikeets) the Doves, the Mudlarks, Magpies, Butcher Birds and the occasional Kookaburra... sometimes they get a bit grumpy with each other but more often than not they just go about the business of eating in possibly a more orderly way than humans in a canteen.....!!

What a wonderful sight to see all these birds taking turns sitting on your fence. You are so lucky to have such colorful birds around all of the time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific post! And those birds - so colorful. We have an occasional cardinal or bluebird, but mostly just sparrows and doves!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful, colorful birds! How delightful to have them visit you!! Marvelous captures for the day! Hope your week is off to a great start! Enjoy!

You have a wonderful assortment of exotic birds. Our feeders here are over run by House Sparrows who were introduced to N America many years ago and seem to have taken over.
ReplyDeleteReally nice take on theme day. What gorgeous birds! No wonder you let them sit on your fence. : )
ReplyDeleteCute. Wonderful depth of field as well. Galahs yes, parrots yes, corellas drive me up the wall - noisy little things.
ReplyDeleteLovely grouping of Australian birds here,Grace. I suspect your pool area is loud in the early morning.
ReplyDeleteThese shots are just beautiful! Love them Grace!
ReplyDeleteThe birds at my bird feeder are nothing like these exotic creatures. Your post reminds me that I missed the CDPB theme for this month. Slept right through it. Sigh. Maybe next month.

ReplyDeleteAn Aussie classic. Great theme day post.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great looking birds you've got on your fence. They make the birds around here look rather ordinary.
