Oh I do love to be beside the seaside.....!
Driving down the coast road yesterday on the way to the Melbourne Cup lunch at the Trigg Island Cafe, I was mesmerized by the colour of the sky and sea, I stopped to take this shot (making me late again) just before I reached Trigg beach which is described by surfers and body boarders this way... 'A good day surfing at Trigg Beach will leave you smiling. A bad day could leave you severely dumped, sucked into the notorious Blue Hole, or swept out to sea by a coastal rip' (surfing etiquette) this link did make me smile, 'the rules of surfing', yes even out there where on top of all the above mentioned dangers there is the possibility of becoming a shark 'snack' there are rules, well there has to be, those surf boards are very pointy. Hopefully you'll agree this shot was worth being late for lunch.....!!

The colours are fabulous! i love that little white breaking along the right side. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. I also love the sea.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your beautiful picture.
Yes, I agree. I would have stopped to take the shot too!
ReplyDeleteI would say it was well worth being late. The color of the water is saphire blue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place, Grace, and beautiful blue.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind comments about Susie's blog. She is a great kid. I'm glad she is making the time to exercise her creative side through photography.
Lunch is a passing pleasure. This is lasting beauty.
ReplyDeleteThat blue is just mesmerizing. Wonderful photograph.
ReplyDeleteI think I would have been tempted to take a dip instead of lunch, it was rather hot!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot Grace. Yes late is good!

ReplyDeleteRegards from France,

The ocean's color is stunning. The stark white sand provides the perfect contrast to enhance the blue.
ReplyDeleteI may not like or know the rules of surfing but I do like a cup of tea looking at this big blue sea !
ReplyDeleteI do like to beside the seaside.....
ReplyDeleteThat's a feeling we have in common, even if we live each on an opposite side of the world!
ReplyDeleteLate for lunch? Who cares! I might never have turned up for lunch!
Profite bien!
ReplyDeleteit WAS!

Brilliant photo Grace. Love the way you've captured the shades of blue. "shark snack"! Makes me shudder.
ReplyDeleteVery worth it I feel!
ReplyDeleteRight now I can only dream to be beside the seaside, at least to swim and sunbathe! I dream of beach vacations in Greece, but a storm is coming, in more ways than one!
ReplyDeleteStunning blues! No wonder you stopped. Was the lunch good? Fiona
ReplyDeleteSpectacular blues... hard to tell where the sky ends and ocean starts :-)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like paradise, a "bounty" beach.
ReplyDeletefor sure. what a beautiful landscape fills your eyes each day on your way to work. how wonderful that you continue to 'see' it and appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThe photo makes me yearn for the sea (sharks or no sharks, I'd be careful!); love to watch surfers!
ReplyDeleteIt doesnt look real! Would love a dress that color. Happy days to come!
ReplyDeleteI no longer swim in the seas around Florida, but this is certainly a glorious spot and I'd love to spend some time there just taking photographs. Of sharks! Sometimes along our Atlantic coast you can actually see sharks swimming in the shallows. Fantastic colors here!
ReplyDeleteWell worth the tardiness
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Mum! The colours are amazing, our coastline is so very beautiful! I love when you can see such an amazing variety of shades in the water.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blues... «Louis» would have stopped, too!
ReplyDeleteSurfboard competitions have been held this week at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, despite the sighting of a large shark in the waters on opening day.
Wow .. a truly magical shot of a blue heaven!
ReplyDeleteWorth being very late- it warmed up an autumnal day here- thanks Grace!

ReplyDeleteOh definitely! The beach is always a good reason to be late :D
ReplyDeleteI agree... Great shot for a deep feeling. I like almost everything by the sea, apart overcrowded beaches in summer.
