My favourite time to people watch in the city is during the lunch break.. office workers dashing to get things done.. and then there's always the one who is in winter denial wearing shorts and the occasional, most unlikely of men wearing a skirt around town.. I actually don't mind a man in a skirt though I'm not sure about his footwear :) My favourite pick here as you might have guessed is the older gentleman in the suit and slouch hat, très charmant! Where is your favourite place to people watch? Happy Friday et bon 14 juillet to my amis français, take care and stay safe..
Terrific shots! A good spot here to people watch is a spot I featured the other day- the stepped platform outside the World Exchange Plaza- lots of people going back and forth, music in the summer at noon. Ideal spot for it.
ReplyDelete...people watching is a blast.
ReplyDeleteIncredible how fashion can be seen through the eyes of a lens. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteI love people watching. When my Mum was around we used to do it together and giggle like school children! Happy Bastille day, Diane
ReplyDeleteI wonder if any of those people will see themselves depicted on your blog!
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots and post. I too, love the elderly gent in slouch hat and suit. I watch people any time when I'm quiet and they're moving. Happy Bastille Day. Jo
ReplyDeleteAny place where I can just sit quietly and be unobserved! Good selection of pics, Grace!
ReplyDeleteSchöne Bilder von den Menschen in der Stadt.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy observing along a track where people are exercising. The energy level is so high!
ReplyDeleteI notice you seem to be photographing everyone on the street from the back. Work on shooting from the front being inconspicuous by shooting from the hip, or pick a good background and let people walk into your picture. They will never know to took a photo.
ReplyDeleteI would get six months for pics like that.
ReplyDeleteOn the shore walk is my best place. There is a picnic table on a hill and corner, as soon as the person turns the corner, they're in a photo and don't know it. Pick and choose. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend Grace!
Great way to show diversity of fashion! Several of the men look very professional and business-like. Would love to talk to the woman in white shorts; a real individualist! Great body, too.
ReplyDeleteNice work Grace. I prefer the white shorts or gray skirt myself. Now it the fellow had a kilt he'd fit right in in Scottland.
ReplyDeleteWhose idea was it to think that brown shoes with blue, grey or black suits looked good. It drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteSuperb clicks.
ReplyDeleteYour photos show how diverse we all are, and that is what makes it interesting. Or should I say "us" haha :))
ReplyDeleteThat would be at my favorite cafe. Always a lot of interesting people to look at.
ReplyDeleteThat man in the skirt should wear high heels! :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure about a man wearing a skirt...as for those wearing shorts in winter I wonder if the just don't feel the cold. Great pics Grace. Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh, the men in skirts are back, Grace?
ReplyDeleteIt was a "big hit" back then when we were in Mexico. I wonder if there is a statement behind?
Sitting with Ingo at Schadt´s, that´s where we watch people.
What a wonderful posting!
ReplyDeleteI am good at people watching, when i am somewhere new.
Waikiki and Ala Moana Shopping CENTER ARE DA BEST!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in college, I used to do my people-watching on buses. Now, I do it mostly in restaurants.
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny his shoes do look a bit off but my mother would scream that his pants are too long! She had a thing about that! I like watching people too, and it looks like maybe only two girls are on their phone, and two girls possibly looking at their phone. But all the others are phone free! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI also love people watching. I think my favorite places are airports and train stations. I think the guy in the slouch hat is also my favorite.
ReplyDeleteThe world is beautiful because it's various ;) Arianna
