I couldn't find one bad review for Alfred's Pizzeria on Barrack Street, in fact one reviewer said they were tempted to give a bad review in the hope it would put people off thus keeping Alfred's a 'secret spot.' Too late, the jig is up, the word is out with another reviewer saying that 'the smell of pizza and the decor made them feel as if they had strolled straight into Little Italy.' Enter through the telephone box and you will discover 'tucked away downstairs all of your favourite things, a cocktail bar, late night pizza and rock & roll.' I think I've just talked myself into a visit :) Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. P.s. most of the pics this week were taken super early on Monday morning, just in case you're wondering where everyone is :)
Entry through a phone box, that's original. Looks inviting Grace.
ReplyDeleteQuite an unusual entrance!
ReplyDeleteThe portal to pizza heaven by the sound of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun entry way!
ReplyDeleteI love a good pizza!
ReplyDeleteHa, that seems like cool place for a pizza.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of entering through the phone booth!
ReplyDeleteI love that entrance! That alone would entice me to give it a try. However, good pizza would also make it worth it. I actually had a really good pizza at the winery I visited last weekend. It was one of the best I've ever had. No phone box entrance though.
ReplyDeletePretty clever entrance. Pity they couldn't use an old Aussie phone box. They were probably destroyed.
ReplyDeleteOne emerges as Supergirl!
ReplyDelete...I just found one of those red phone booths in town!
ReplyDeleteI love that entrance, very cool. A pizza party sounds great, doesn't it Grace? :)
ReplyDeleteA uniquely great way to use a phone box -- an entry. Hope you enjoyed your pizza.
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique and novel entryway! Clever owners! Yes, good pizza is delightful, esp with a nice cold brew!
ReplyDeleteThis makes me envious. Not a lot of really good pizza around here. And what a great entrance!
ReplyDeleteAnd my Perth-list 2019 grows, Grace :-)
ReplyDeleteCool idea with the phone-box, though where is the relation to Italy?
Anyways, I secretly hope "the boys" choose Guido´s Pizza as it´s Wednesday. I´ll for sure skip my homemade lunch for that!
Great entrance :) Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the creative entrance!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very artistic entrance :)!
ReplyDeleteThe British red phone box definitely does NOT make me think of Little Italy, but I'm sure the aroma of sizzling cheesy pizza would soon change my mind.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting entrance for a pizzeria :)
ReplyDeleteWow love this entrance quite unique and a fabulous idea. All the phone boxes here in France now have become little used book libraries, sadly they are not as interesting as the British red phone boxes. Have a great day Diane
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I'd check out Alfred's too, probably more than once too! I like that old telephone booth too!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny but we used to have a restaurant that you arrived in their lobby and had to get in an elevator which moved (gave the sense you were going down, way down) then the opposite elevator door opened and presto you entered their dining area! I miss that place!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant door!
