Raindrops keep fallin' on my head...

But that doesn't mean my eyes will soon be turning red
Cryings not for me
Cause I ain't gonna stop the rain by complaining
 Because I'm free
Nothing's bothering me...

Had a fab time in the city yesterday, it was raining.. more like showers really, was fun watching the umbrellas pop up here.. and there! The little chap above screamed with delight when his mum leaned out into the rain and quickly back in. Cheese toasties and coffee in Tartine Cafe watching people rush by on Wellington St.. perfect kind of morning! Happy Wednesday, take care and stay safe.. p.s. catch up today!

  5. Oh I hate rain, don't like to get wet and everything looks so miserable. I need some of your optimism because it rains cats and dogs here too, I want the sun back!

  6. I like rain. Provided it doesn't rain all winter AND all spring which is what's happening AGAIN, therefore at the moment I have to agree with Biebkriegels, everything looks miserable.

But, rain is a different story altogether in Perth, isn't it?! Love your first shot and can I have a bite of the toastie pleeeeeeaaase? :-)

  30. Are there coloured tiles on the ground in that part of Perth, Grace? Because that first photo is definitely a great shot of a rain-bow :)

  37. love rain shots...and I love rain...let those rain drops keep falling! I just read that Tucson, AZ USA is going to run out of water by 2030...Don and I lived there twice so this was sad news, even though it's been predicted for years. an aquifer only holds so much water and annual rain (when there is any) in the desert usually runs off quickly...not good

  38. The top image is like famous ART !
Enjoy the rain. You probably get warmer rain "Down Under" than us living closer to the arctic area.

  39. Perth is a very cool city and I'm glad you got some rain and you also seem to always find the best-looking goodies to eat, whatever the weather.

Re an outhouse: It's an outdoor privy or loo or toilet. My grandmother, who lived on a farm way up in northern Minnesota, did not have a bathroom in her home. We had to go outside, walk across the circular driveway and do our business in a little wooden shack with two holes. No running water. It stank. In the winter it was horrible.

This "outhouse" in Brownwood is not really an outhouse. It is a very nice, modern restroom with a section for men and a section for women. But the folks who run The Villages like to play and so they make up all kinds of stuff like calling this an outhouse to go with the theme of the old west. They also put names and dates on old buildings but all that is faux. As I've said, The Villages is a Disneyworld for adults!

  40. Love the way that children can enjoy the elements and water holds a particular fascination. I, too, love to walk in the rain, with our without an umbrella.
