Freshwater Bay..
Just around the corner from the art show residence on Sunday we stopped by to take some shots in Freshwater Bay, if you zoom in centre of the shot below you can see the distinctive brickwork of the 'Coombe'. Most of the homes along this part of the foreshore are built into limestone cliff, distinctive to this area.. many years ago there were freshwater springs at the base of these cliffs hence the name. There are three yacht clubs in this area all popular venues for weddings and also the answer to the question posed a few days ago.. where to moor your yacht when you live in a four million dollar home :) Happy Friday, take care and stay safe..

Those skies are looking a bit ominous, Grace. Beautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteAmazing skies and tranquil scenes♥
ReplyDeleteAh, those skies are different indeed from the usual blue, blue, blue ones!! Wonderful captures as always, Grace! Hope you have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI love that top shot with the boats looking so quiet and peaceful on the water and the perfect sky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the note you left on my post for Thursday. Gabby really was one of the "good politicians". She was one of the few left who worked well with everyone and could always find the middle ground and compromise points on issues. It was a great loss to Arizona to lose her representation in congress.
all is calm, but these dark clouds before a storm
ReplyDeleteOh, the sky in the last picture does not bode well !

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to live. Your photos are really nice.
ReplyDeleteI think I could be quite happy there, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDeleteFreshwater Bay is also the name of a place on the Isle Of Wight off the south coast of England. It was the home of Alfred Tennyson and the pioneering Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron. There are some pretty impressive yachts there, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Grace! Would love to be there.
ReplyDeleteCould be an easy water color for you!
