If you're very lucky you may catch a glimpse (below) of the 'exotica red' behind the bushes, a tres rare species of the lesser known 'glamographer' :) and of course there's no show without the 'gang' turning up! Hope that you're having a wonderfully relaxing weekend, take care, and stay safe..p.s. catch up today.....

Beautiful colors and they do look spring-like!! But, of course, my favorites today are the Roos ! So amazing for me to see them out of the usual cages you see them in here in the states! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend, Grace!!
ReplyDeleteDoes it ever freeze? :-) 20° is so warm! Lovely (and surprising) flowers, young photographer and ah the kangaroos that I only ever see painted! :-))
ReplyDeleteLovely the crew in last photo! Arianna
ReplyDeleteNasty looking gang in that last pic, Grace! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSome great catches today for sure. I'm glad someone is having some nice weather.
ReplyDeleteSuch different vegetation from what I'm used to.
ReplyDeleteAnd quite a gang of miscreants too...
What a super collection. I am surprised at how colorful it all looks at this time of year. Putting the kangaroo shot last is an amazing finale for us all. Nice job, Grace!
ReplyDeleteGrace, your overseas readers will for sure enjoy that last shot - it's really one of those special ones!
ReplyDeleteBanksia pods are wicked!
Yes the banksia pods are an odd thing but typically Oz just like the gang. great shot. The wild flowers are looking good already.
ReplyDeleteLove the group shot.
ReplyDeleteSay! Banksia = Banksy the artist? Hmmmmmmmm?

May Gibbs was not part of my childhood reading, so they are just interesting plants to me. So nice of the mob to pose for you.
ReplyDeleteLove those big guys keeping a wary eye on you! And yes! The banksia pod has the weirdest detail I have ever seen on a plant! No wonder May Gibbs found inspiration in it!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAGH! So that's what they are! I've lost count of the times someone has passed a comment about the weird things in a tree, and you're the first to actually give me an answer. I feel so stupid, and am looking forward to my first chance to appear smug.
ReplyDeleteLove the kangaroos! They look more than willing to pose, too!
ReplyDeleteLove all the kangaroos posing for you.
ReplyDeleteThose kangaroos look like they would be fun at a party. As does that redhead.
ReplyDeleteLove the kangaroo party shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is one very strange looking pod. I don't think I've ever heard of that plant before. The kangaroos are always fun to see. That photo of the gang is great. Of course, that red headed photographer is always a welcome guest.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or do those kangaroos look slightly thuggy and up to no good :) Banksia are about the strangest tree I've ever seen. Nice to see the greater spotted red A - rarely sighted!
ReplyDeleteDo you have to watch where you walk? I know you do walking where cows 'go'.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like young cress somehow! Mine is ready to eat btw :-) Yum. Guess our temps went over to your place again. 17C... in the "high" of summer...
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such a pod. Amazing! Beautiful nature shots. Love the Kangaroo family portrait and both compositions with the 'exotica red'! :-)
ReplyDeleteawwwww...the kangaroos are such cuties!!!!!

ReplyDeletei believe i spotted a redheaded adorable daughter ...
ReplyDeleteAww I simply love the picture of the Kangaroos. It like they love to pose here. I like the pictures you have taken of the fauna and flora too.
ReplyDeleteAll these photos and subjects are beautiful (most notable of which is your daughter). Those pods are about as strange looking as it gets.
ReplyDeleteLove your kangaroos! Curious about that strange Banksia pod...must
ReplyDeletecheck it out on Wikipedia!
