We picked the perfect crisp, clear winter's evening to drive into the city to see the
light projections on the heritage buildings of
Brookfield Place on St. George's Terrace. First stop a cup of hot chocolate in
Theobroma Chocolate Lounge in the
Old Perth Technical School (above) which is also home to
Montblanc (a bit of a fuss about a pen methinks :)) It was super to see Perthites and visitors out and about in the city wrapped up in coats and scarves, we don't get the opportunity to 'rug up' all that often so we have make the most of it! I had hoped to take a shot of the complete row of buildings but left my wide angle lens behind, at least I had my SD card and battery in the camera, I went out a few days ago without either and missed such a great shot of a little
Willie Wagtail that landed right on my table and hopped about for ages teasing me..beh!! Hope you're having a fab weekend, take care.....
These projections are so pretty on top of the architecture. I don't I have heard of anything like this in the states.
ReplyDeleteCool! Don't change the building. Just change the projection.

ReplyDeleteAlways best to remember the camera when going out!
ReplyDeleteInteresting way to light up the city!
These are pretty impressive shows aren't they? I've seen a few in this country. Had to laugh at your 'making the most' of getting bundled up in a scarf.
ReplyDeleteWhat a colorful place! One of these days I would love to see it for myself.
ReplyDeleteThese are great. I really like the last one.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Grace. I can recommend the hot chocolate at Theobroma, was there last week with a friend!
ReplyDeleteLight projections on urban buildings seem to be popular in Australia. I don't know that they are as common here is the US. They should be as they are very spiffy.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous Grace. I saw similar light projections for the first time last Christmas and well remember all the gasps from the crowd. It really is quite spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThese are great shots Grace. I love looking at the photos of these types of shows.

ReplyDeleteC'est très beau ces projections, bravo pour les photos. Ce qui est amusant c'est que chez toi c'est l'hiver et tu vas prendre un chocolat chaud, nous on ne veut que du froid, très grande chaleur ces jours-ci.

ReplyDeleteI do not like much this kind of show, but your pictures of it are spectacular! Love your 'a bit of a fuss about a pen'...
ReplyDeleteOh I wish they did something like this here in Coventry. It is beautiful and your shots are super!
