Peaks of a different persuasion.....

Both shining beacons in the Perth CBD although for very different reasons.. one ecclesiastical the other commercial. Up until the late 1800's the Perth skyline was dominated by church steeples, but even now surrounded by skyscrapers like Brookfield Place and Central Park I still think the Wesley Church's Victorian/Gothic 35 metre high spire with weathercock atop, albeit a 143 year old weathercock in need of a little TLC :) still manages to hold it's own against it's lofty neighbors no matter how splendid they are n'est pas? Hope your week has started well, take care and stay safe.....

  1. I love your shots for the day, Grace, and particularly the Wesley Church and it's old weathercock -- even without the TLC, but I do hope one day he'll get that! Hope your week is off to a good start! Enjoy!

  3. Beautiful stuff. It's great to have found your blog...but now I'm regretting the probability of never getting to see Perth in person.

  13. The church is very nicely lit. I would suggest both buildings are commercial.

  18. I like evening photos of cities better than daytime photos. Your photos the last couple of days help show why.
