On the way home yesterday we stopped by the beach to admire the gorgeous colour variations in the ocean. I couldn't help wondering what the chap above, floating in the shallows, his fishing rod set, was hoping to catch. After a bit of Googling I now know that in the shallow sandy areas between reefs, as above, there is whiting and tailor to be caught and in autumn if you are lucky, salmon.. who knew! It was around the 39C point when I took these shots, I really hope he was covered in sunblock! Back to the car and the air-conditioning pronto 😎 Happy weekend, take care and stay safe.. P.s. can you see him there below!
Beautiful, Grace. The ocean is never that beautiful around the USA.
ReplyDeletePlease let me get there!
ReplyDeleteRain here and is also wind. The thermometer says it's 4 degrees, but the feeling temperature is -4!
Have a great weekend, Grace!

He'll have earned any fish he manages to catch! I heard the report from the Perth Test Match and they said it was 40 degrees - not much fun to be had running about in that temperature.
ReplyDeleteLovely colors in these photos. The temperature does seem a bit too warm to be out on the water, but the water must keep him cool. Just wonder if there might be fish hunting him?
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's sitting in a good spot. Hopefully he caught something cos fishing here in Summer is usually really hard due to so many people out on the water.
ReplyDelete...gorgeous blues of the ocean!
ReplyDeleteI thought of sunburn when I saw this pic too, Grace! Love the blue!
ReplyDeleteIt is +5˚C here and sunny! People are happy!
The ocean looks refreshing! Hope the guy caught a fish. :)
ReplyDeleteHe must really love fishing to Fish in that heat!
ReplyDeleteWhat he needs to make things exciting is for a great white shark to show up.
ReplyDeleteWow! That water is just perfection!
ReplyDeleteYou weren't dressed for a swim? No one on the beach and he is looking out to sea. You could have taken a nice refreshing skinny dip.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors indeed, Grace - you brighten another very grey day!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone still go outside without sunscreen??? Your slip slop slap sure is burned into my mind :-)
He must have a skin of leather to sit there in the full sunshine! 39C I would love to change with you for a moment, here it is 5C...
ReplyDeleteFantástico as cores deste mar.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

He's just a tiny dot in that last photo. I hope he sun block too!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. Take care Diane
ReplyDeleteBy that first photo I am waiting till the shark from jaws appears.
ReplyDeleteIt is so gorgeous, alone in the seaside...!
ReplyDeleteEspecially, within beautiful sights!!
39!!!! Wow!! We were -27 here this morning. We both should stay inside lol!
